No, I've been around long enough to reply same as it ever was and if this
continues the next step is return of the trolls and it's all over. I'll stand
behind K.O. saying let's behave like gentlemen in keeping with the intent and
purpose of Amateur Radio, a good part of which is promoting international
goodwill. A step in this direction is like the man said, learn how to use the
reject.sys file or other message filter and quietly go about the business of
running your own BBS.
Just a little background on 7+, it wasn't developed for AX25 packet, but
rather for X25 Telnet protocol over the Internet and adopted by packet as a
means of transmitting binaries via ASCII by stripping the 8th bit hence the
name 7+. I'll bet you think Telnet is Amateur Internet too, it's not. It's
yet another protocol adopted for Amateur communications originally used by
private WANs to connect hospitals, etc.
Just one last comment about wasted space. It's not 7+ wasting space but the
bickering over it.
