Speaking of stupid comments, here's one from me. You mentioned CB forwarding,
but you have a short memory. I remember when CB bulls showed up here wreaking
havoc and raising a storm of protest from sysops until finally a way was
found to stop them. So here comes the question, which is more stupid, this
comment or bulls from CB showing up here where they don't belong because of
stupidity? The FCC had the right idea, look up Part 95 and you'll see why it
could never happen here.
No need to reply, this is just a reminder of to borrow a line from Led
Zeppelin, what is and what should never be. Oh, in keeping with international
good will a bit of praise where praise is due. Having learned from friends
living there, the Netherlands is perhaps the most progressive and sensible
nations on the planet and the place I'd rather be if that were possible.
One final thought, in most countries Amateur Radio is only a hobby, here it
is a radio service which makes it a public service giving us certain
advantages being considered public servants. This gives us protection under
law while in the performance of our duties having the same protection as
police, firefighters and medical personel. It makes motor vehicle
registration with "ham plates" a whole lot cheaper too and driving the
VXAmobile with an antenna on top comes with a bit of pride.
