Hi Brian and all,

I was speaking only for myself being forced into paper hamdom by lack of
antennas. If there were no systems the Lakehurst BBS/node would have no
reason to exist any longer. Judging by that URL I'll check out momentarily,
NEBBS no longer exists as such and the web site taken down was replaced by
Eastnet, or maybe just the name changed.

Just to mention a pet gripe I'm sure I share, if the FCC would go back to
what it was concentrating on engineering rather than a spectrum auctioneer
packet would advance a lightyear or two. Using data compression much faster
throughput is achieved in the same occupied bandwidth, but the legacy
dinosaur data rates remain rather than being replaced with bandwidth limits
that apply to voice modes. Oh well, I'm just a voice crying in the wilderness
I suppose.

"New Jersey, the most American of all states. It has everything from
wilderness to the Mafia. All the great things and all the worst,
like Route 22."
