Hi Steve and all

IMHO there are now no big sense to invest hardware TNCs,
and double not for 'old junk' ones.

We already have enough power of bbs server computers!
Just use software/soundcard TNCs.
There are good ones for new Windows or Linux OSes.
Look internet for UZ7HO Soundmodem (win) and Direwolf (win, lin).

As for BBS/aprs/node software, my choice is BPQ32,
its mostly supported and updated software for now.
Windows and Linux versions is available.

If you interest in HF bands operation, there are also some
new soundcard-based modes developed in last 10 years to transfer data.

73, Sergej.
