GB7CIP Change of Static IP Internet address 16 February 2017
To all GB7CIP Packet Users, Forwarding Partners and those
that have UDP links to this system.
Those that have ipip-encap gateways, will be updated via the
amprnet portal gateway updates and these links will reconnect
in due course.
Change over:
Sometime during 16 February 2017, GB7CIP new ISP (Internet Service
Provider) will come online.
In advance preparation, I suggest that you use the hostname below in
your ax25udp tunnels, telnet, winpac and other applications
configurations that you use to connect to GB7CIP servers via the
Public Internet address..
gb7cip.theskywaves.net
The new Static IP address assigned will be 82.70.39.223 16 February 2017
To check:-
e.g. in dos, linux use command
nslookup gb7cip.theskywaves.net
That will point to the current or new Static IP address when I update
the Public Domain Name Server for the above domain.
This 'will hopefully' give you a seamless changeover.
