First of all, transatlantic propagation on 75M AM is difficult at best so
hearing one or two AM Gangstas as they love to be called out of the net would
actually BE boring. They had a brief existance but were quite funny as WA1HLR
who invented them and was of course net control (out of control) intended.
The first one was The Old Buzzard Net with W1OB Hiram (with occasional
mention of XYL Molly) "the old buzzard of Buzzards Bay, MA" (an actual town
where Cape Cod connects) at the helm. The character was played by Tim
"Timtron" Smith WA1HLR as a goof on the ARRL and Hiram P. Maxim W1AW. The
second was The Piss And Moan Net as a goof on all the old goats who gather on
75M LSB here and there pissing and moaning about pretty much anything. Both
faded away eventually as interest waned and the Gangstas moved on to bigger
and better (?) things. Oh, if you want some good laughs Google WA1HLR or
Timtron, living proof that genius borders on insanity or in Tim's case a

Eh, The Island Of Misfit Hams isn't for everybody so if you're not a misfit
you WOULD think it's boring. Frankly I find The Decontamination Zone worse
than boring with their incessant derogatory remarks about QRZ and a few
individuals in particular. Well, nothing is perfect and otherwise it's a nice
place to hang out and have fun.

I wouldn't call it boring, I wouldn't call it anything because my morals and
standards won't let me. You know, if you can't say something good about
someone don't say anything at all, one of THOSE things. All I can say is I
left so long ago all that remains of me is my callsign lookup because FCC
database info is automatically uploaded to QRZoo weekly... or is it weakly?

Sorry, the time is passed and so has the Carry On crew that ended the series
with Carry On Carrying On. That being the case I'll carry on until I go to
that big ham shack in the sky and continue to carry on there too but no Carry
On Lurking.
