Back in the 1960's I was Communication Officer in the Texas State Guard
Reserve in Southeast Texas and we had and were using the BC-610/BC-390
combo. Nice equipment.. I enjoyed working with it.

.....It makes me wonder why open frame relays in such a critical 
application when at the same time the R-390 radio receiver used plug in metal 
encased relays for T-R operation when paired with the BC-610 transmitter.
