Hello all,

It makes me wonder how to attach two modems (SCS Dragon DR-7400 for 
pactor & robust packet, and RIGblaster Advantage sound-card interface 
for 'classic' packet and other software modes) to a single radio. I 
would like to have them both attached to the radio all the time, so to 
avoid switching over their audio cables. But here I use the club's 
transceiver, and would not like to take any risk. For now I switch over 
audio cables, where in both cases the TX/PTT line goes to the MIC jack 
and the RX line to the headphone jack (both on front side of FT-1000MP MkV).

For those who are not familiar with those modems, SCS Dragon DR-7400 has 
only one radio port, and uses 8-pin DIN connector to the radio. (At the 
radio side, I divided the audio cable into 2 cables, one goes to MIC 
jack and the other to headphone one.) So far - so good. And as 
RIGblaster Advantage interface already uses two separate cables that go 
to the same jacks on the radio, I wonder whether I could join the cables 
for both devices before going to the radio's jacks, so I could listen 
the frequency by using both devices in parallel. (Of course, to transmit 
by only one of them at a time, what is possible in BPQ software.)

By the way, both devices eat separate USB connectors at the computer for 
audio IN/OUT line (and RIGblaster for its power supply). So I suppose if 
I just solder the respective wires together, it might appear some 
parasitic interference if I use then both devices in parallel. Maybe I 
would need some isolation transformer or like. Any idea?
