Hi all,
With regret I have to inform you that I had to remove packet BBS
equipment from the SRV office (Ham union of Vojvodina province in
Serbia) where I tirelessly served in the secretary position for two
years (until recently when I resigned because of lack in support). The
'bosses' Laslo Keki YT7DQ, Laslo Bariček YU7CM, and Staniša Zaklan
YU7AC, did not show any sign of support to my continual efforts to
revive 'data' modes in the northern part of Serbia.
They only wanted me to be their 'volunteer servant' who satisfies only
bureaucratic tasks. So I resigned last weekend. They appointed a new
person in an eye blink, and added in a 'farewell' note that they "hoped
I would remain available for new endeavors in digital & data modes".
But only a day or two later, they asked me to get out the packet
equipment and return the office keys.
PS: I still work some 'data' modes (pactor, robust packet, HF packet,
and VHF packet) from the nearby club station YU7BPQ (in the same
building) -if and when the club's gear is not busy for contests etc.,
and only hope that I will not be sent out of this room too, HI.
