Yeah a supersoaker doesn't mix well with electronic equipment. :-)

Ralph is not a huge cat but decent sized at 13 or 14 lbs. He's muscular
and pretty strong, so I don't think a sticky rat trap would hold up.
Maybe a motion detector that kicks off playback of a startling sound.
Probably too much trouble - I think I'll start with some sort of barrier.
