Between problems with the insurance company and the
contractor to rebuild the bathrooms from the plumbing
incident 6 weeks ago (cost estimates are far apart)...
to ISP Roulette (went back to Xfinity with internet
only, after I couldn't get T-Mobile, AT&T, or Earthlink
to work (poor signal strength)...to possibly having to
sell the car to meet the bills...to the waiting game
after the second COVID-19 shot...to my originally
thinking of going back to my original callsign (never
mind considering giving up doing VE Testing)...to
having to give up Echolink (router/LAN issues)...to
having to reset both phones, to dodging thunderstorms,
and to put the BBS in the cloud...it has been a very
rough week to say the least.

There 's a severe weather threat tonight, so I'll be
QRT later this evening into Wednesday. I'm to the point
of a breakdown and burnout, so I'm going to be slow
getting on the air or answering emails for awhile.
I'm to the point where TNC stands for "Totally Not
Caring".

We do want to welcome George tonight!!

N2GWK:

GE to all from Bardstown, KY. As I said, I'm a newbie
to packet.

I have a BPQ Node running here N2GWK-6 on 145.050 as
well as this http connection.

Hope to enjoy packet.

This was an adventure for me. First time for everything.
Like I said, new here, but will be back next week
with more to talk about I hope.

NS2B:

GE All, and welcome to George!!

A light week, radio wise. I tinkered with adding more
networks to my DMR hotspot - I now have Branmeister,
TGIF, DMR+, and DMR2YSF all running at the same time -
it works pretty nice!

Spent all day Saturday getting my garden patch ready.
And then polished up the Corvette for a ride with the
club out to Lockport for Mexican food. True to form,
it rained on us - so it needs shining up again - when
it finally stops raining.

I have the unlimited wash for my truck, but the Corvette
gets hand washed.

VA7RBP:

GE Daryl, and all on the net, and welcome to George!!

Another slow, boring week. Wet weather kept me indoors
reading, as the bands were uncooperative.

In a brief lull, we managed to get a small harvest of
rhubarb for some yummy crisp. The rhubarb crop is going
crazy this year.

Arlene planted the radishes and lettuce, and the radishes
are sprouting.

Temperatures here are still down to 40F at night, so we'll
wait another week to plant the tomatoes.

Snow tires are still on. I have an appointment to get those
changed out on the 13th, and I think I saw some snow falling
on the mountain sides today, but that should be done pretty
quick.

I'm researching another antenna, a BBTD (Broadband Terminated
Dipole) sourcing 9:1 balun and 500 ohm terminating resistor.

Anyway, I'm waiting for prices. This will be another stealth
type antenna that I can string up around the perimeter of
our mobile home.

Car Wash...another to-do list item.

Also, the lawn is getting shaggy. Oh, another to do
list item.

Sorry Daryl, I'm a slow typer.

KF5TVG:

GE to all and Welcome to George!!

I love the new nickname. Unfortunately, the tacos
have added to my waistline. Yikes!!

Sorry I haven't been here for awhile. While the weather
has been nice, have met with some of my ham buddies for
tacos at a truck named "Taco Rosy": at 6:30 central, and
then we go to a local park for our regular local Monday
night net at 8 central.

Tonight is supposed to start heavy rain in an hour or
so, so...here I am! Hope the mosquitoes or heat don't
start too soon this year.

Trying to decide what to do with 4 of our trees (live
oaks) that suffered from that long cold snap back in
February. Two look completely dead. They are all about
30-40 feet hight. All the other trees around here are
greened out and look healthy. Tree man says this is just
too far north for this type of tree.

No radio work to speak of.

Good to catch up a bit with all tonight.

My Gridtracker/WSJT-X just verbally announced "Alert
Strike Detected" and it shows it was 28 miles away,
so storm is coming soon. Better unplug antennas.
