Guys;
As we've seen in replies:
- Internet NON-ham mails have been imported via NNTP into the packet world.
- Initially these mails were not done on an intentional basis. Now they seem
to be.
- NO apologies to other sysops was made by the offender.
- Suggestions in helping clean mails were chastized by the offender and others
claiming "software wars" without merit.
- It's now proven that this issue will not vanish like Covid.
Not running every type/make of PBBS software available (it is NOT needed
anyway!) I have some tools that so far have proven to combat this infestation
of bad messages from the internet. They only work for FBB however. If there
is enough interest I'll put them on the web for download. If there's not enough
interest then just simply ignore this message. The tools are a combination
of reject listings and m_filter settings. If you don't have the m/f_filter
plugin for FBB that I rewrote a while back, I can make that available as well.
