"Patton" as you may know was the title of a movie called a biopic, a
biography.
Ol' Blood 'n Guts earned that monicker, not only did he have guts but he was
bloody too throwing bodies at the Germans to obchieve his objectives. His
unorthodox strategies came from historic battles, he was a self taught
student of history a d thought himself the reincarnation of a Roman general.
His mouth got him in trouble alright, he got a dressing down from Supreme
Allied Commander Eisenhower but he and General Marshall pretty much had to
intervene on his behalf because he was winning the war. All things considered
his death gave fuel to conspiracy theorists who say the "accident" was
arranged, make of it what you will. Put it all together and you have one of
the most famous historical figures, he sure made a name for himself.
"New Jersey, the most American of all states. It has everything from
wilderness to the Mafia. All the great things and all the worst,
like Route 22."
