Hello all
I wonder if anyone has experience this.
I am sure they have and just given up!
Or is it just me!!!
As a lot of experience Packet SYSOps are well aware
that the recent versions BPQMail SP WP Mail forwarding
is broken for the past year.
LinBPQ and Windows
e.g.
1)BPQMail Does not allow Forward through a
BPQMail System
e.g.
Does not Forward SP WP@REMOTE_BBS_Address
not destined to a BPQMail
IF a BPQMail server is in the forwarding Path.
The BPQMail server WILL NOT Forward these mails
FBB Source WP Server <> BPQMAIL <> FBB Destination WP Server
BPQMAIL server in between FBB
This requires the BPQMail to be fixed.
2)BPQMail Does not Send out SP WP@REMOTE_BBS_Address
From within a BPQMail one is unable to
send from a BPQMAIL WhitePages 'process' to a remote BBS system
a WP mail addressed as SP WP@BBSADDRESS.
At least two BPQMail sysops have confirmed the message
is flagged as forward, BUT IS NEVER SENT OUT on to the
network and never received at the remote BBS GB7CIP.#32.GBR.EURO
used in the these tests.
As an Experiment G4APL ask the the SysOp Steve KB9PVH
running a BPQ BPQMAil server to create a user WPA.
Then configure the BPQMail WP Server procress.
To send SP WPA @ GB7CIP.#32.GBR.EURO
when these WhitePage update SP WPA mail
arrives at GB7CIP the WPA is readdressed to WP
and the GB7CIP server processes the SP WP messages.
As a further experiment
two other BPQMail forwarding partners of GB7CIP
have been asked to try KP9PVH on their Windows Systems
Create User: WPA - Set as BBS and EXPERT -
Name WPA test
Don't forget to
hit UPDATE tab.
Edit Forwarding Tab :
Select user WPA - Insert WPA into To Field
Insert GB7CIP into AT Field
Connect Script to link to the C CIPBBS, or C GB7CIP
which in my case is a direct link via Netrom.
Enable Forwarding Ticked (if not already ticked)
Don't forget to hit UPDATE tab when your done.
WP Params: Tick Send WPUpdates box
Tick Type P button
Fill in field Send TO WPA
and field Send VIA GB7CIP
