Good News - EI2GYB BBS Back on air!
Hi ALL,
It is with great delight that I have good news.
The EI2GYB BBS Is now back on the air!
With the help from Red PE1RRR
Moving from a windows PC drawing nearly 200w to a raspberry pi 4 8gb drawing about 15w is a massive saving of about 180w.
This may not sound like a lot, but when you have increasing electric bills its quite the saving.
Red, PE1RRR has been working tirelessly to get a multi system working to include:
BPQ Node/BBS/Chat Server
Vara
Winlink Mail
Ardop
Flrig
QT Sound Modem
The system also makes for a very portable Emergency Communication setup that I'm sure people in that field will love to use.
With its low energy use and small footprint would fit into any Field Bag / Grab Bag or Comms Box.
