I know that the state of Oregon in the USA is undergoing upheaval,
but when did it become part of the Netherlands?

The purpose of registering your home BBS is to let people know where you can
be reached. If I have an account on GMAIL, I would not register it as YAHOO.
You can visit as many packet systems as you want, but when registering your
home BBS you should use the same one as where you expect to get your messages.
Otherwise, you may be missing what people are sending you. The whole purpose
of a bbs and amateur radio in general is about communications, right?
