Anyone have any experience in calibrating the indicator pot in the g5500
elevation rotor. Or anyone have a copy of the service manual for it.

Did you split the case? I.E. mechanical/electrical calibration of the
rotator itself? Or is there a problem with the box?

Manual is available on the net. Do take care. There are more than one
rev of the PCB.

So, it may, someday, have power, but it may not have any brains to do
much with that. We can still hope!

A great technical article about the IHU-2 onboard AO-40 is located at
http://www.amsat.org/articles/g3ruh/124.html, and dovetails into a
presentation that our little AMSAT ASCENT group will be making at the
Symposium. See ya there!

Hi Everyone,

Newbie on this list, but I may have been here 20 years ago :-). Back in the
last millennium I was an Oscar 16 geek and was very active on it. Since
it's gone, I have not seen another Sat with similar operating parameters,
until FalconSAT-3 came along. Naturally, my old PSK-1T tnc and radios are
no good, not to mention my DOS box with PB and PG on it.
So, my question is.......what are people using to operate on Falcon SAT-3?
I have a WIN7 box, a Timewave Navigator, SignaLink USB, FT-817 and TM-D710
radios. Is any of this useful to get going with?
Any ideas, software suggestions etc, appreciated :-)

Jack -

I use just a TM-V710, and can get in just fine. I still am having issues
getting the TNC to operate in full duplex, but am working on a solution.

For all our talented coders out there, a replacement for the venerable WISP

satellite resource. Anyone interested?
