Good afternoon!

I just bit the bullet and joined AMSAT with the QRO 80 membership. I'm
delighted to be able to download the Getting Started...guide. It looks like a
really tremendous resource.

One of the reasons I chose the membership at that level was the copy of
SATPC32 that comes with it. I'm not quite clear on how the software is
delivered with the membership. Can anyone tell me whether it's the
downloadable version, or if I'll be receiving CD? I'm not seeing how I'm
supposed to receive it.

Thank you!

Greetings, programs!

A little while back there was a good thread about tracker software
recommendations for Android. I have just moved to iOS from Windows phones,
and was wondering what other iPhone owners are using for sat and ham radio
software on iOS devices?

Thanks in advance,

Devin,
I painstakingly tried all that I could find and easily settled on

I have noticed mention about issues with HRD Sat tracking. No "specific"
problems were mentioned I have used HRD for may years, and know it pretty
well.
After the last few "updates", an upcoming sat pass in HRD, the pass over my
QTH, is about 5 - 10 minutes later.
I, also run SatPC32 at the same time, along with pass predictions from
other Web sites. All of the predictions agree, except for HRD, reporting
the pass later. I have missed many passes using HRD.
When I switched to SatPC32, I started hearing passes.
My "keps" are current, QTH is correct, time is correct, and all the
"personal" information is correct in the HRD Logbook. I am "totally"
stumped.

As someone said previously, it's probably a math problem that got buggered
up somewhere along the way.

We will get this fixed.

Hi Jean Marc,

Tnx for the info. Yes, this is very helpful. Lowering uplink power helps
tremendously in finding the ideal frequency.

Reports so far all seem to be in substantial agreement.

Mike,

I confirm that the uplink frequency on L-mode is about 9kHz high. I made a
QSO with ZS2BK, my good friend Andre yesterday and also check same on the
previous pass of AO-92, being in the middle of the Indian Ocean and having
the SAT for myself to test during the whole passage it was easy to confirm
same.

On the other hand I believe that the SAT is very sensitive on L-mode, to
explain I was made to understand that one needs about 100W EIRP to have
reliable com on this bird on this mode, I was able to trigger it with about
70W EIRP as from horizon (ele. 0 deg.), and ZS2BK in spite some fading was
crystal clear sometimes with about only 24W EIRP. We need a few more passes
to determine the exact requirement and will do so this side.

Not to mentioning the U/V mode which is superb, 3 local HAM?s in 3B8 were
able to make a QSO with Baofeng?s last Wednesday...

I hope my feedback is constructive.

I run HRD Sat, SatPC32 and MacDoppler on my computer and all the AOS
times match.? I am running the latest release from September 2017 of HRD
