I have used this program. Works great and at $15 it is a bargain.

If you mainly want to load memories with freq/mode/tone/name etc, then
CHIRP works nicely on my FT-817, so I assume it would also work for an
847. It also works on several Kenwood radios that I have tried!

Yes, I just discovered. Sorry about that. I hardly imagined it would work
for the 817 and the 857, but not the 847! BTW, it also does not work for
an ICOM 910H, as I just discovered with my new rig :-) No big deal since
the memories on the 910H are only semi-useful anyway without labels!

?? I have a few more SatPC32 questions. I have LVB tracker working with my
G-5500 rotor using HyperTerminal and USB port 13. In setup rotor it only
talks about LPT ports 1-4. Since I do not have any?parallel ports I entered
0. If I understand right I need to update the ParPort.SQF file? Manual says
how to find in window 98, 2000,XP. I have windows 7, I cannot find a way to
find these values. On the rotor setup I have Yaesu_GS-232. The manual said
not all the next?fields are used in every?tracker but here is what I came up
with (0 70 n -3). In port address it has $0000 and I cannot find the address
to enter. And lastly how do you turn rotor tracking on or off? I see in
options to how to start?tracking at start up but I would?like to?track only
when I am planning on working the birds. And turn off when I am just
watching all the sats.?Is there anyone out there that would not mind me
asking some of these questions off group so I am not filling up the BB with
basic questions?Tnx 73 Mike

The issue isn't AOS times matching its todo with doppler correction.

Previously (Not aware it's been fixed) it doesn't allow for proper
calibration between radio and the software so doppler is never correct
so you drift in an odd way.

HRD has always tracked a satellite in the sense of rotator pointing
beyond that, however, it's got/had some really odd quirks.

Before I gave up I used it on FM satellites but for automated control
when using linear it was just unusable.

If there's been some sudden correction recently Mike then do let us know.

(Sorry can't help offer experience to dev, C++,MFC isn't my strong
point more a slap together simple C# apps to interact with apps todo
what I want)

The launch was successful. Both side boosters landed at Cape

stage, including the Tesla, is now in LEO.

An excellent first launch for a new booster. Well done, SpaceX!
