I want to replace the existing IC-7000 "rig setup file? as shown in setup >
Radio setup > Icom > Model.

So a few questions:
1. Where is this file located? It is not in the Icom folder.
2. What does model ?others? do?
3. I am using a 7100. Is it OK to use the 7000 model?

I do not want to do a restore with a data backup or reinstall if at all
possible.

Any and all help appreciated.

Scott and the other Windows users,

Windows is completely ignored. The live Linux CD is live! You insert it in
your DVD/CD drive and reboot your PC. Linux will load into RAM and run
exclusively from RAM. It has a desktop not much different from a Windows PC
or an Apple Mac. Give it a try. My mother started using Linux when she was
84, and she certainly didn't have an IT background!

Butch,
you cannot change the list.? I must contain only models the program can
steer.
Select IC-7000 as model, but the addresses of the IC-7100.

Dear All,

Thanks for all the good advices and infos. I will have to learn
Ubuntu/Linux for the decoder, will try this week-end and hopefully get the
decoder working. However the sats may be too far for my setup as having
only one 16 ele. cross yagi only on 70cm + good quality preamp,

I believe that FT4 transmission should work (at least Rx), hopefully.

Until the birds reach the moon pointing the antenna is very important, I am
using the Celestrack Keplers elements with SatPC32. Any expert with outer
space antenna pointing to confirm that this is OK?

I also not sure if SatPC32 will handle the Doppler properly and if
any special setting required. Anyone have any ideas about this?

I've continued to use the original TLE (
http://lilacsat.hit.edu.cn/tle/dslwp.txt) provided for this lunar transit
period in both Orbitron & GPredict. That's resulted in a very
slow-changing AZ/EL over a 6 or 7 hour period each evening here. Using
last night as an example, Orbitron put the doppler change to 436 MHz at
about 2 KHz less. With such slow-changing AZ/El, I've just been turning
the rotator manually.

However, I only used that RF value for scanning around with HDSDR to
manually look for signals.

In the GNU Radio flowgraphs provided by the project team (
https://github.com/bg2bhc/gr-dslwp), there is a block in each decoder that
accommodates doppler. I saw a tweet this morning from the cubesat team (
https://twitter.com/bg2bhc/with_replies) that indicated that they hoped to
update the .TXT file that those flowgraph blocks use today.
