Just spotted this in the DXNL 2094 - May 23, 2018 DX Newsletter. Cozumel
news will be old when the weekend ANS bulletins come out ...

XE, Mexico:
Members of the Radioclub Cancun will be active in the context of
the Rally Maya Mexico 2018 between May 23 and June 1 with the
callsign 6E5RM. QRV on 80-6m on SSB, RTTY, FT8, and via satellites.
On May 23 and 24 they are also operating as 6E5RM/XF3 from Cozumel
     Island (NA-090). QSL via XE3N.

DX Newsletter is a free and weekly service of DARC Committee "DX"

There is a Windows version of GNURadio available for 64-bit machines. I
am using ver. 3.7.9.2 on my Windows 7 laptop. I use it together with a
program called "Amigos" for live decoding of pictures from the Russian
Meteor WX satellite. It works great. Here is the link for the download.

Thanks for sharing that link to the Windows version of GNUradio. That should
make experimenting with GNU flowgraphs MUCH easier for us non-Linux
flunkies.

Red,

Sure it will help and I will surely try, the original post by me was about
GNU for the new birds flying to the moon Longiang (1&2).

Per advices received I will try Linux as in any way it just a new challenge,
if old ladies can master same I believe I may, <60 so far but near it?

Thanks to all for advice on that post. And I will feedback on any the
Longiang adventure from my side,

Edson,

My congratulations (and for sure from the the community) for achieving the
reception of the Longjiang and decoding the telemetry.

I would be grateful if you could let me know what antenna you have been
using so far (up to 64K km) just for my learning.

cores to be able to run all the flowgraphs.

frequency offset to get the signals into the demodulators' passbands. Once
that was done, I could decode the GMSK telemetry from both satellites up to
64000 km. Above 64000 km, my small antenna was no longer enough. I will get
a better antenna ready and will try monitoring again over the weekend.

Jean Marc,

I've used a home-made 4-el LFA tuned for 436.5 MHz. It is the one in
Figure-3 in this article:

http://amsat-br.org/cubesat-serpens-decodificacao-dos-sinais/

The preamp used was an ARR SP432VDG (not the one shown in the picture). The
RX hardware was a Nooelec NESDR Smart (RTL-SDR).

This may not seem like a satellite question, but it is. When using the
paddle input for CW on a TS-2000 does the PTT light for the VFO you are
using turn red as though you had pressed the mike key? Even on full
break-in (when I might expect it to blink in time with the code)?

It's satellite related because while I don't do CW, I built a little box to
send dit-dit-dit to get tuned in on a linear satellite, and while I get the
TS-2000's side tone in the earphone, I don't see the red light at all, and
have not really found it on another radio.

Thanks and 73,

Burns WB1FJ

Hi Burns,

Make sure you have the VOX turned on when doing CW, that controls the break
in function for CW. The red TX light should go on when sending CW.

Thank you--that's probably it. Not at all obvious! I saw that some of the
things to adjust used the Vox button, but I thought it was set up right by
default so I never touched it.

Thanks again!
