Hi!

I will have an AMSAT booth at the Prescott Hamfest, which is also serving
as the 2018 ARRL Arizona State Convention, this Friday and Saturday (1-2
June 2018). The hamfest will be at the Prescott campus of Embry-Riddle
Aeronautical University, on the north side of Prescott along Willow Creek
Road, west of AZ-89 and south of the end of the AZ-89A (Pioneer Parkway)
freeway. More information about the hamfest is available at:

http://www.prescotthamfest.com/

During the two-day event, I will have demonstrations on amateur satellite
operating. If you hear WD9EWK on the satellites during the hamfest, please
fell free to call and be a part of the fun. The hamfest site is in grid
DM34, in Arizona's Yavapai County.

While at the hamfest, I will use my @?????? Twitter account to send out
updates, and pictures of the hamfest. If you are not on Twitter, you can
still view these updates without having to get a Twitter account. Simply
follow this link to view my tweets in a browser window:

http://twitter.com/WD9EWK

After the hamfest, all QSOs made with WD9EWK during these demonstrations
will be uploaded to Logbook of the World. If you wish to receive a QSL card
for any contacts made with WD9EWK during the hamfest, please e-mail me
directly with the QSO details. If you are in the log, I will send you a QSL
card. There is no need to first send me a QSL card or SASE.

Thanks in advance, and 73!

Hi!

While attending the Prescott Hamfest this Friday and Saturday, I will have
some time after each day to venture away from Prescott and operate from
different locations. The DM34/DM35 line is about 30 miles north of Prescott
via AZ-89, and is a nice spot for working satellites, for example. Is there
any interest in working grids like DM35, DM44, or possibly DM45 on either
Friday or Saturday evening? Or even something like DM25 to the northwest
of Prescott along I-40? Please e-mail me directly, or send me a tweet or
DM to my @?????? Twitter account, if there are some grids in this area
that you might want to hear on the satellites Friday or Saturday evening.

The hamfest runs until 4pm/2300 UTC on Friday, and 3pm/2200 UTC Saturday.
It would be after these times, when I would be able to depart Prescott for
some other grids. I don't know how late I plan on staying out both nights,
but I will end up back home sometime on Saturday night, possibly late that
night, depending on where my post-hamfest Arizona road trip goes. I will
have my TH-D72 squawking to the APRS network as WD9EWK-9, and this will
be visible online at (among other places) http://aprs.fi/WD9EWK-9 in a
browser window. Updates will be posted on my @?????? Twitter account, which
can be viewed in a browser window at http://twitter.com/WD9EWK without a
Twitter account.

Just like with the QSOs made during the hamfest, I'll upload any other
QSOs I make this weekend to Logbook of the World. If you'd like a QSL card,
please e-mail me the QSO details. If you are in the log, I'll send a card.

73!

Dear All,

May be a stupid question for the experts, but genuine from me.

Has anyone received any FT4G beacon signal from the Longiang Sats so far?

I have being trying to do so for the past week without success.

Thanks for the info, Paul!

As a check, I tried to log in and my current password was not accepted.

I clicked the Password Reset button and it indicated that instructions would
be emailed to me, but nothing has been received.

You state that "there is no need to take any action", but my password
doesn't work anymore. So, I or someone in charge of the AMSAT store need
to take some kind of action. Recommendation?

And just as a side note, when the email issue is solved, another

Presently I am working with our contractor to understand what happened and
why it was not detected in testing, and develop appropriate actions for
recovery. If website users need to do anything, we will let you know.
