Kirk
I use SAT32PC Ver. 12.8c on a laptop running Windows 10 and an IC-9100.
I assume your IC-9100 is connected to the PC via a USB cable.
Some things I would check:
Is the device driver for the IC-9100 Installed? Does the IC-9100 talk to
other software such as HRD?
In SAT32PC go to Setup>Radio Setup
Is the Icom button in the Radio 1 panel checked?
Click on Model in the drop-down box. The windows below should say
IC-9100
Click on Baudrate in the drop-down box. The windows below should say
9600
Click on Addresses in the drop-down box. The windows below should
say $7C $7C.
(This are the default addresses in the IC-9100. They can be changed
in the IC-9100 but they must match the addresses set in SAT32PC.)

In the Com Port Window my setup shows Com Port 6 but this will vary
depending on other USB devices. It can also change when change USB devices.
You might try different Com Port numbers.

The Cat Delay box should show 70.

The Satellite Mode box should be checked.
The RTS, DTR and KCT boxes should be unchecked.

At the bottom right corner of the SAT32PC main window does it show Doppl.
Corr: Up/Dwn ?

Then of course the in the upper left of the SAT32PC window there should be
C+ showing when you click on it.
If there is some other setting that you would like to compare e-mail me
directly.

Hope this helps.

Until we hear from Wei (considering the differences in local time of day),
a quick question, please.

What flowgraph were you running to try to replay a sample file?

Also, were you using a .RAW, or a .RAW_PACKAGE file?

Others might be able to help with those particulars.

Thanks!

Ok. I will add to this. I had no problem connecting the following USB
devices with no driver upgrades needed to my new laptop. FT-817 with a USB
62c, or a 11 year old K3 with new USB add on connectivity. Plug and play. I
even went back to WIN10 ver 1709 and STILL can't get the 9100 USB to work.
>From the Icom website...

We have an update from our previous posting regarding the compatibility
between the latest version of Windows 10 and Icom Drivers used on the
IC-R8600, IC-7300 and IC-7610. Icom Inc. has confirmed there is an issue and
are in the process of developing an update which they will add to their
global website download page.

In the meantime, we have been given four solutions to fix the issue
temporarily:

.	Download USB driver 10.1.2 (updated on 14. May 2018) from Silicon
Labs web site.
.	Download USB driver 6.7.5 (updated on 13. Oct. 2017) from Silicon
Labs web site. This driver is commonly used in OS Windows 7, 8., and Windows
10.
.	Use the latest version of our USB Driver from the Icom Inc.global
web site (Version is 1.20 for IC-7100/ IC-7200/ IC-7300/ IC-7410/ IC-7600/
IC-7610/ IC-7850/ IC-7851/ IC-9100). As marked driver's information is
6.7.0.
.	Use PC Windows 10 version 1709.

As soon as we have anymore information, we will post on our website.

Well in my case none of this works. I'm fortunate that I have a backup
laptop that will work for FD. It makes you wonder though, why does Icom
always have all these stupid connectivity issues. I was thinking of selling
my Flex VU5K, and IC-9100 and getting an IC-9700 but now I'm rethinking
that...

First Amateur Radio Transmissions from Lunar Orbit and Subsequent
Test Plan

On 2 Jun and 3 Jun we had 2 successfully tests on the UHF downlink
of DSLWP-B after lunar orbit insertion. BY2HIT and PI9CAM team
successfully decoded 39 GMSK packets from the satellite. SP5ULN and
M0IEB also detected signals from the satellite with much smaller
antenna, but the decode was not fully successful.

Two weeks ago, when the satellites were launched on 20 May, UHF
signals from both satellites was received by PY2SDR, CD3NDC, PY4ZBZ
and N6RFM.

The subsequent tests are planned from 4 Jun 22:00 UTC to 5 Jun 00:00
UTC, and from 5 Jun 08:00 UTC to 5 Jun 10:00 UTC. The mode is 250 bps
GMSK for both 435.4 MHz and 436.4 MHz.

US Schools/Groups Move Into Phase 2 of ARISS Selections

June 08, 2018 - The ARISS-US Team (Amateur Radio on the
International Space Station) is pleased to announce schools or
organizations submitting proposals have been selected to advance to
the next stage of planning to host amateur radio contacts from
January to June 2019. The contacts will be with International Space
Station (ISS) crew members using the ARISS equipment on the ISS. A
review team of teachers from the ARISS-US Education Committee
selected proposals after the recent proposal window closed. The
groups will go forward to Phase 2, developing an amateur radio
equipment plan to host a scheduled ARISS contact.

ARISS's primary goal is to engage people in science, technology,
engineering, and math (STEM) activities, and involve them in pursuits
related to space exploration, amateur radio, communications, and
associated areas of study and career options. Cord Davidson, KD5J,
at Central Magnet Middle School in Batesville, AR, exclaimed after a
recent ARISS contact, "ARISS shows how amateur radio is the most
unique hobby there is, and from the educator's perspective, what a
great way to encourage STEM topics!"

ARISS anticipates that NASA will be able to provide scheduling
opportunities for these US host organizations. The candidates must
now complete an equipment plan that demonstrates their ability to
execute the ham radio contact. Once their equipment plan is approved
by the ARISS technical team, the final selected schools /
organizations will be scheduled as their availability and flexibility
match up with the scheduling opportunities.

The schools and organizations are:
Faith Christian Academy, Orlando, FL
Hidden Oaks Middle School, Prior Lake, MN
Huntington High School, Huntington, TX
Moriah Central School, Port Henry, NY
NIH-National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences Children's
  Inn, Bethesda, MD
Park Co. Public Library with Boys & Girls Club of the High Rockies,
  Fairplay, CO
Pembroke Junior Senior High School, Corfu, NY

ABOUT ARISS

Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) is a
cooperative venture of the Radio Amateur Satellite Corporation
(AMSAT), the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) and the National
Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in the United States, and
other international space agencies and international amateur radio
organizations around the world. The primary goal of ARISS is to
promote exploration of science, technology, engineering, and
mathematics (STEM) topics by organizing scheduled contacts via
amateur radio between crew members aboard the ISS and students in
classrooms or informal education venues. With the help of experienced
amateur radio volunteers from radio clubs and coordination from the
ARISS team, the ISS crew members speak directly with large group
audiences in a variety of public forums such as school assemblies,
science centers and museums, scout camporees, jamborees and space
camps, where students, teachers, parents, and communities learn about
space, space technologies and amateur radio.

This is an excellent opportunity to become involeved while directly
supporting the AMSAT mission on a regular basis.

Wei & all,

Everything working this side, decoded the raw file and uploaded on the
server successfully.

Unfortunately could not take the opportunity of this morning transmission as
a brand new preamplifier installed yesterday (tested OK) blew the fuse this
morning and went SK. I replaced it today.

So ready for tomorrow?s transmission and if ever possible to receive the sat
with a 2 x 15 ele. circular polarized antenna, DBA-270 preamp + 30m of 1/2?
heliax feeder, I should make it. If not will wait for JT-4 transmission.

Any idea what is the best Polarization RHCP or LHCP? would be useful to
start with the best one. In any case, as I would be at work during the pass,
I will ask the XYL to change pol every 15 minutes anyway.

Thanks for all who helped me getting the setup working. Really appreciated,
quite a good learning exercise.

Hi Jean,

LHCP or RHCP would not matter, as we are using linear polarization antenna
onboard.

Expecting your results!

Best Regards,

Wei
