Wei,
Thanks for advising.
Was not able to decode this week-end and found a few issue with my station.
Such as a few loose plugs, antenna pointing etc? Thanks to DSLWP-B, these
issue were not even noticeable on LEO?s but when investigating why not
receiving DSLWP it enabled me to find many shortcomings, and now able to go
through most of the birds with minimum power and no preamp switch on which
is absolutely incredible for me. Therefore major improvement of the station
this side.
Hopefully will be able to receive something during the next passes.
Congratulations to all having decoded the telemetry of DSLWP-B this week-end.

Hello,
Newbie questions:
Have SATPC32 running on desktop, Amsatdroid on Android phone.
Dl same KEPS, Using EXACT same GPS coordinates but AMSATDROID has passes up
to an hour off of SATPC32 depending on bird.
Example: AO-92 next pass SATPC states 17:57 AOS w/Max EL of 27 deg.
AMSATDROID: States 16:28 AOS w/Max El of 20.5 deg
What am I missing?

I have discovered how easy it is to talk to ham around the world using
the Brandmeister network and an inexpensive hot spot device. Right now I
am listening to TG91 which is world wide and really enjoying it. I have
seen several special TG listed and wondered if any AMSAT organization
has a TG and if so what is the number?

This weekend I decided to try APRS on the ISS, NO-44 and AO-84. So far I
have heard nothing on the ISS. I've heard that the radio is down. Is it
still down completely or only for certain frequencies? Are any available
on the ISS? I was using 145.825 for the ISS and AO-84 on APRS. I did
hear a sound shortly yesterday either on AO-84 or NO-44, but not long
enough to receive packets. I've also tried the ISS on 437.550. This page
shows that APRS was last heard 1 week and 1 day ago

ISS is down indefinitely for APRS. There is a new system on earth that is
waiting for a ride to the station, but until then - don't count on ISS
packet. Their voice system seems to still work fine, so you may get lucky
if you call them (but probably not - I've tried 100 times over the last 2
yeara, and nobody ever returns my call).
NO-84 works just fine when the digipeater is on. If the battery voltage
falls too low, then the digipeater turns off and has to be manually reset
(And I think DK3WN is the only command station currently). NO-44 is very
difficult to work. User agreement explicitly states that you are not to
attempt digipeating using the "W3ADO" path, but that seems to be the only
one that works. I've tried a few times when it was in "PCSAT" mode and it
just flips to W3ADO, or sends a poor excuse for a packet that won't decode.
The only other packet option is Falconsat-3, which is 9600bps. It is
always on, however, but takes more skill to operate than the 1200bps sats.

Christy KB6LTY and I had a QSO on NO-84 a few minutes ago. Only NO-84
(PSAT) and FalconSat-3 seem to be QRV for satellite APRS at this point. The
common practice is to send a beacon that serves as a implicit CQ. I actually
use "CQ APRS AI6DO DM03" as my StatusText. You respond by sending a message
back to that station with your grid. If you get an ACK packet back, or you
get an APRS message packet with some indication that the recipient has
QSLed, then you've successfully completed a QSO via APRS!
There is another way to make QSOs on APRS, which Bob WB4APR described on
this list yesterday. It's an elegant solution from an RF perspective,
relying only on beacon packets that go to everyone rather than
point-to-point messages. However, it seems somewhat impractical to implement
when using an HT; an awful lot of keystrokes are required to manually enter
callsigns. I may yet try it on Field Day in addition to (not in lieu of) the
conventional message passing method, but I suspect it isn't going to be
popular enough to garner any QSOs.?
That page you mention indicates that the status of ISS packet was last
updated 8 days ago, and that status was "not active," not that packet was
last active 8 days ago.?Check the AMSAT status page
(http://www.amsat.org/status/index.php) for live updates from folks who use
(or at least listen in on) the birds. That Greek station keeps reporting
NO-44 being operational, but I think I've gotten to the point where I no
longer believe those reports, having tried NO-44 unsuccessfully several
times over the past couple of months and seeing no indication of PCSat
digipeating activity on findu.com. Frankly, I think that guy is reporting
the wrong satellite. Should be NO-84, not NO-44.
Hope to get a QSO with you via APRS, hopefully on Field Day!

Not familiar with the Android program, as I'm an iOS guy, but double check
your latitude and longitude in SatPC32 and make sure that the longitude is
entered with a minus sign in front of it for western hemisphere. You should
see the little white + over Minnesota. FWIW, the next AO-92 pass for us
begins at 02:09z (21:09 local). I don't believe either of the times you got
was correct for the last one (AOS at 17:05z by my reckoning). Give me a
call if I can be of help.

Can anyone recommend an easy way to generate a list of all satellite passes
for a particular grid for a whole weekend?
I would like to pick a list of sats, a grid and a date range and get a list
of passes for that time I can print out.
I can do it for a single sat and paste it into a spreadsheet then sort by
time but I hope that problem has already been solved.

sunlight, low power beacon plus transponder on in darkness).

The quickest way is to use the Heavens Above website interface. You'll get
a lot of chaff (satellites you can't work), but you can print it out and
apply a highlighter to the passes of interest. Or you can literally copy and
paste each whole page (24 hrs of passes) to Excel, and then filter as
needed. I don't use the AMSAT predicts page much since it only allows you to
select one satellite at a time. One issue with the Heavens Above web
interface is that CAS-4A is excluded for some reason.?

Computer programs SatPC32, Orbitron, MacDoppler, and probably others
will do this. If you give me your grid square and what sats you want
and the exact time range I will generate the list for you.
