For some reason, I could not get an English language page to come up for
the SiriusSat-1/SiriusSat-2 satellites on the SPUTNIX site, but they do
exist, and they have a little more information than the Russian language
pages that I translated previously:

http://sputnix.ru/en/satellites-en/siriussat-1-en

http://sputnix.ru/en/satellites-en/siriussat-2-en

Go figure.

I'm not sure what you mean by not being able to find the command line. You
do need to have Git installed, and how you do that will depend on which OS
you're using. There are some GUI versions of Git around, but I've never used
any of them, so can't advise you there.
Hope you can get farther!

 Hi Andy,
If you just want to grab the source, you can just clone to your local
machine using 'git clone'. See 'Cloning an Existing Repository' here:

If you want to be able to contribute back changes, though, you'll want to
fork the repo and work from there. See:
https://guides.github.com/ activities/forking/

It's pretty straightforward, if a little different from other source control
systems like Subversion. Feel free to ask if you have questions.

Just as a side note here for those stuck on Windows needing basic Unix/Linux
functionality in command line and X it?s useful to have mobaXterm installed.

Eric-

One can also install Cygwin (http://www.cygwin.com/) and add the X
server package (http://x.cygwin.com/).

True, I left that out. MobaXterm is Cygwin underneath they just package the
various components nicely.

Hi everyone.

With no shortage of nervousness I?m planning a trip to Virginia?s Eastern
Shore to attempt some passes from FM-27 this Saturday, Aug. 11th. I?ll plan
to beacon APRS as K4KDR-9 from an IOS cell phone app throughout the day and
if I happen to send out any Tweets, my ID on Twitter is @??????????.

My only remote operating experience was the first #WMPLOTA, so keep
expectations low. Yes, I should have practiced more since then, but it?s
hard to talk myself out of the air-conditioning this time of year.

If FM-27 is a grid that anyone needs, I hope that I can work you on
Saturday. Here are the passes that I?ll be shooting for:

(all times UTC)

18:57 FOX-1A

19:52 CAS-4A

20:24 CAS-4B

20:38 FOX-1A

... and the next one is only a ?maybe?. After we?re done with a
meteor-watching event up at Wallops Island & are heading home, there?s a
high pass of AO-92 at:

2018-08-12 02:07 FOX-1D

... so, if that one works out it might be half-duplex from the HT. Of
course everything will go into LoTW.

We?ve been dealing with very isolated, but strong storms around here this
week and that?s predicted to continue into Saturday. So, fingers crossed
that none of these passes are rained out.

Hope to make some contacts from FM-27!

73,

-Scott, K4KDR
