Ok thanks, but still an issue here.

The same setup runs Funcube dashboard and that is working fine.

All systems have been powered down and restarted including the main house
distribution modem.

I checked the error logs in the modem and it had a firmware update on the
18-09-2018 at 01:42 local time. It appears the data may have stopped
forwarding since then.

I also noticed that my time clock synchronizing programs are failing to
connect to their sever.

Something strange has happened and I am not impressed !

The following is my translation of a Russian language post by Sputnix on
13 September 2018 (https://vk.com/wall-49343931_1135):

We congratulate the winners of our small competition among radio
amateurs for the reception of the first signals from the satellites
SiriusSat-1 and SiriusSat-2.? The winners of the competition were as
follows:? Rocco Valenzano (W2RTV, USA), Anton Janovsky (ZR6AIC, South
Africa), Vladimir Chyorny, (EU1SAT, Belarus), Mike Rupprecht (DK3WN,
Germany) and Dmitry Pashkov (R4UAB, Russia).? It's worth noting that the
radio amateurs not only received the first signals, but they also
strongly helped with the dissemination among the radio amateur community
of information about the reception of data and the establishment and
activation of our specially developed software system allowing the
decoding of data and the reception of telemetry from the spacecraft.?
The winners will receive a QSL card, a copy of the checklist employed by
cosmonauts for activization of the spacecraft prior to release and also
books on space.? Vladimir Chyorny has already been given Chris
Hadfield's book "An Astronaut's Guide to Life on Earth" personally in
Minsk,? Dmitry Pashkov will be sent Stephen Hawking's book "A Brief
History of Time," and foreign amateurs will receive Pavlov Shubin's
illustrated album "The Space Rocket System N1-L3."

Anton Sivkov

Congratulations to the winners!

An International Space Station school contact has been planned with
participants at Bisch?fliche Schule / Technisches Institut, St.Vith,
Belgium, and Berufliche Schule Direktorat 1 N?rnberg, Nuremberg, Germany on
21 Sept. The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 10:15 UTC. It is
recommended that you start listening approximately 10 minutes before this
time. The duration of the contact is approximately 9 minutes and 30 seconds.
The contact will be a telebridge between NA1SS and W6SRJ. The contact should
be audible over the west coast of the U.S. Interested parties are invited to
listen in on the 145.80 MHz downlink. The contact is expected to be
conducted in German.

Bisch?fliche Schule / Technisches Institut

Abitur an.

Berufliche Schule Direktorat 1 N?rnberg

Bisch?fliche Schule / Technisches Institut

Our school, the BSTI was established in 1931. It is a secondary school for
boys and girls between 12 and 18. We are situated in the hilly Eifel region,
more precisely in St.Vith, a small town in the German-speaking part of
East-Belgium. That means that you can find us right in the middle of the
border triangle between Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg, where different
cultures and languages meet.

Our pupils can graduate in a wide range of subjects such as natural
sciences, mathematics, physical education or modern languages to qualify for
university studies. But since we are also a technical high school many
vocational subjects are on offer as well.

It is our philosophy to combine tradition and innovation to help our pupils
find a perspective for their personal lives and their future as individuals.
But we also want to raise an awareness for global challenges to encourage
them to contribute to a more sustainable future for our world.

Berufliche Schule Direktorat 1 N?rnberg

B1-Nuremberg - short form of Berufliche Schule Direktorat 1 Nuremberg - is a
vocational school located in the south of Germany. Education directions are
electrical and electronically engineering, electronics, information
technology, mechanics and mechatronics (parts of mechanics combined with
parts of electronics).

Approx. 2000 students and 80 teachers are learning and working at the
B1-Nuremberg.

The education combines theoretical lessons and practical training in
workshops and laboratories.

Our students spend parts of the period of training in school and other parts
in industrial plants and workshops

(German Dual-System of education).

An amateur radio and electronics working community was found at the school
in October 2016. Students are taught by an amateur radio instructor weekly
and learn to operate in analogous and digital modes of ham radio with the
aim of getting an own ham radio license.

Soldering of small circuit boards is also part of the training in the
amateur radio and electronic working community. One highlight in this year
is to make an amateur radio contact and talk to a person in space.

Participants will ask as many of the following questions as time allows:

    k?nnen?

17. Welches war ihr interessantestes Experiment?

18. Was machen Astronauten in ihrer Freizeit?

About ARISS:

Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) is a cooperative
venture of international amateur radio societies and the space agencies that
support the International Space Station (ISS). In the United States,
sponsors are the Radio Amateur Satellite Corporation (AMSAT), the American
Radio Relay League (ARRL), the Center for the Advancement of Science in
Space (CASIS) and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
The primary goal of ARISS is to promote exploration of science, technology,
engineering, and mathematics (STEM) topics by organizing scheduled contacts
via amateur radio between crew members aboard the ISS and students in
classrooms or informal education venues. With the help of experienced
amateur radio volunteers, ISS crews speak directly with large audiences in a
variety of public forums. Before and during these radio contacts, students,
teachers, parents, and communities learn about space, space technologies,
and amateur radio. For more informa
 tion, see www.ariss.org, www.amsat.org, and www.arrl.org.

Thanks for your suggestion Greg.

I have manged to fix the problem by resetting the modem back to default
settings. In the process if doing that I also lost all my port forwarding
parameters for other applications that I run.

Very annoying as that the firmware update was automatically done by my ISP
and after I called them and explained the situation they asked for a fee to
get the problem fixed by the tech team...............a bloody joke !

What I could not understand was the foxtelem upload was not working but
funcube data was ok.

Anyway all good for now :)

I got my first QSO on AO-92 today, but my voice recorder malfunctioned
and I don't have the recording. If you contacted AI9IN on AO-92 around
1600 UTC today, please reply off-list. Thank you!

Steve AI9IN
