Anyone have instructions for compiling FoxTelem from gitHub using eclipse. I
know it has some dependencies (like predict4java) but I am unable to figure
it out.

Thanks,

Hi,

While we transition to the new warehouse please register new sites at:

http://data.amsat-uk.org/registration for NAYIF-1, JY1Sat, ESEO

http://warehouse.funcube.org.uk/register.html?satelliteId=2 for FUNcube-1

We will unify the registration mechanism one the launch has occurred (too
much to do).

Thanks

Hello,

today I was trying to see the full scale of the Elevation.

For mistake instead to turn the FULL SCALE ADJ pot I have

Turned the OUT VOLTAGE ADJ one.

Now I am not sure if I have reset it to the right position.

Please anybody can tell me how to see if it is positioned in the right
position?

Also if it is possible for the Elevation one.

I would like also know if it is normal that when the rotator it is at 0
degrees

And have to point up when I press the Up switch I notice that the needle

Does not move straight but after a couple of seconds.
Is it normal?

Thanks Joanne...it's linux, so I can't do much with it without installing
the SDR on a totally different computer. Appreciate you taking the time to
look for me!
Apparently they aren't able to provide a Windows solution, or they would
have listed it in the same place. Anyway, I wish them well.

I'm using the SDR (FC Pro+) with SDR Console v3.03 on Win10 64 bit
presently, and an M2 Eggbeater up only 7 feet, to capture and upload data
from:

AO-73 (monster signal, great decode software)
EO-88 (ditto)
AO-85/81/92 (thanks to you and others on this list)

With your help, I have been able to upload 8784 payloads to Amsat since you
helped me get the DUV working right with my SDR software, and 13,916 Frames
of AO-73 and 2214 frames from NAYAF-1 (EO-88).

Much fun, and I'm sure it serves a purpose. Thanks again.

The "output voltage" is, I believe, what is sent out of the DIN connector
to the computer controller. So you adjust that so that the computer
controller (for example the AMSAT LVB controller) reads correctly. The
Full Scale adjustment, of course adjusts the meter on the G5500 control box.

One problem that I had was that the feedback wire from the rotator to the
control box got broken, so it always showed 0. And if you tried to move it
with the LVB controller, it just went all the way (and remember the
elevation CAN go 180 and the azimuth can actually go 450 degrees.

If the needle is not moving for some time, that sounds like one of those
pots needs adjusting. Actually, though, if it hits 0 degrees before the
antenna is that low, you might need to adjust the screw on the meter
itself. I think that adjusts the 0 point and the pot on the back adjusts
the full scale point.

Hi Hasan,

Always good to hear from ya ...

True, it takes a bit of setting up but in the end I'm leaning toward Linux
systems. I have computers running on Windoze and others running on Linux. If
you have a "spare, old machine" google for "installing ubuntu". Many Linux
distributions give you an option of running either on the same machine. You
add Linux without losing your installed base of Windoze software. Ubuntu
16.* or 18.* versions are fair to middling starting points.

> Appreciate you taking the time to look for me!

This info pretty much fell into my lap via twitter running on an Ubuntu
18.04 Linux system on a LibreComputer 2 x 3 inch open source computer board.
Besides open source software there is now a growing movement of open source
hardware.

Often Linux solutions are provided as their first or only choice!

> I'm using the SDR (FC Pro+) with SDR Console v3.03 on Win10 64 bit

I often use an RTL-SDR running on a Raspberry Pi which is a flavor of sorts
of Linux. On the other hand, my SDRplay RSP2 is happy on Windoze at the
moment ;-)

If anyone has an ?Other side of the link? recording of the 180X UTC AO-91
pass from Saturday 12/1. If so, would you please send it along to me as I
want to show the Scouts that were with me as we activated K2BSA/5 what they
sounded like to someone on the other end of the link. Patrick Stoddard did
send me a recording, but he only had a 4 degree pass out in Arizona and so
the audio is not as clear as it could be. Thanks though to him for sending
it along though. I will use it if nothing else arrives.

Thank you to all the stations that did call us. The Scouts did get a kick
out of it and so did I. Please email to my arrl.net address with a link or
a file.

Hi Tom,

I found these two SatNOGS stations W2MMD and K2MTS that recorded the pass.
Click on the Audio tab or download the OGG file to listen.

Dave,
I'm very confused (again). I've been uploading successfully for many weeks
for AO-73 to:

http://data.funcube.org.uk

This morning, the counts on :

http://warehouse.funcube.org.uk/ranking.html?satelliteId=2

are not incrementing, as if I'm no longer uploading?

I went to the URL in your message and tried to "register" (even though I've
been registered for months)..and it told me "already registered"

That's two runs of captured data lost.

I've had no issues uploading for AO-73 and EO-88 until now. I haven't
checked EO-88

Perhaps the site I've been uploading to is down, or has it been changed?

Please give me a hint :-)
