With updated TLE sets the best fit for JY1Sat is now object 43788 and for
AO-95 (ex Fox 1Cliff) it is now 43770 (separation with 43771 is only 1 s).
But these fits are not perfect. Apparently their TLEs have not yet been
published.

Hi Mike,

OK, I'll give it a try. Btw today I saw a couple of weak transmissions

I noticed JY1SAT Dashboard is not decoding as easily as the others ...by
that I mean freq tracking. This morning I lost a bunch of frames because
the doppler is not tracking perfectly yet. Even though I was set to
autotune from 0 to 7500 Hz, as the sat freq leaked down (tones became
lower), I lost lock. When they leaked up, later in the pass, lock was not
lost.

Neither NAYAF-1 nor, FC-1 Dashboards behave that way.

BTW, the signals from JO-97 were a LOT stronger this morning. LOS was about
5 seconds early.

There is something not quite right with JY1 Dashboard software. If set
exactly like Funcube -1 and NAYAF-1...it performs completely differently in
terms of AutoTune. Even when on the wrong satellite, Both FC-1 and NAYAF-1
achieve a lock to the incoming signal., while JY1 Dashboard hunts and
hunts. It eventually gets there, but it takes many seconds to get a lock on
the very same signal that lock up the other two softwares immediately.

*All 3 programs are fed with the same audio source at the same time, on the
same antenna. All 3 programs are on the same computer. Only the JY1 program
is misbehaving.*

JY1 Dashboard
Ver: 1.0.1178.1
Rev Date: 2018-11-28 21:30:22

Something is clearly wrong with this software.

I don't know if the problem is related to the JY1SAT testing and
commissioning procedures. Here is an excerpt about JY1SAT status the FUNcube
operations list forwarded for the ANS bulletins (coming out later this
weekend):

"Commissioning of the spacecraft [JY1SAT] is continuing and there
will be some periods when the telemetry being transmitted is not valid.
This will show up with invalid data collection flags in the dashboard."

Caveat - I don't run the JY1SAT dashboard here so I'm unable to comment
further.

What's the recommended TLE or object to track for Knacksat?

I tried a pass last night assuming it should be in the vicinity of AO-95,
but heard nothing for the entire pass.

OK, pass of JY1SAT at 17:24z

AOS 9 sec early, LOS 9 sec late.

Doppler Tracking:
Sat moves down in frq on approach. lock lost earlier as it drifts down,
than lock lost as it drifts up.

Had to correct freq 4 times as it drifted down, 2 times as it drifted up.

Best Guess:

The other two software packages "seem" to handle freq errors better...only
because their KEPs are really good and therefore the doppler is dead on.

In other words, JY1SAT (JO-97) cannot capture TLM unattneded without
signficant frame loss, until the keps get better.

My earlier assessment is most likley wrong...there isn't anything wrong
with JY1SAT Dashboard.
