I saw on the Satellite status page that AO73 is back on so I got on it this
morning and saw the signals were strong. The problem is no one else was on.So
I just wanted to remind all that AO73 is on again so lets use it.

We deferred L/v this week at the request of the N4T kids expedition to the
Dry Tortugas. This was announced with the mode change announcement on
Twitter last week: https://twitter.com/AMSAT/status/1071609972902060032

I apologize for not sending a reminder to the -bb. I was engaged at a
Christmas event for my kids last night. I hope you understand.

Hi Perry,

AO-92 was left in U/V to support the N4T operations at Dry Tortugas. Sorry
we didn't get the word posted about the change in schedule.

First off, I do not want to "2nd guess" the Engineering team.

JUst read the "post" that AO-95 was still very close to another "object".

I just was wondering, if AO-95 is TOO close to another "object", maybe
"object" is "blocking" the RX antenna, or did RX antenna get "knocked" off ?

Opinions ? Everybody has them. HiHi

When I heard about the troubles, that's kind of the first thing I was
thinking too, maybe the antenna broke off.
Hope that isn't the case though, because that's awful hard to fix while in
orbit.

I am new to sat work. I have been working on setting up my station for sat
work. However I have been having issues with the tracking software, that
being that it does not seem to have all of the birds loaded that are
current and I don't have a list of the active birds.
I have tried to edit the file and find that is not working well either. I
am just wondering if there is a good source to find a current file so that
I can add it or copy and paste what is needed for the current information.
The program is Satpc32 registered, so once in it should be good to go. LOL

I am trying to get things worked out so that I may have the correct info
for tuning my radio and let the software work with the radio to help tune
the rig for doppler effect some, however if I don't have the frequency and
modes correct for them in the file it makes all this work useless.
Just trying to get some help somewhere so that I may try to work some of
you folks here on list.

I am one of those areas that there are not many to work either.

Location is: Maine
Grid is: FN53

Any good help would be useful.
Thank you in advance.

Hi Francis,

That is one thing we are looking into, handily I am well acquainted with
the ExseedSat team lead and since we were in the deployer next to each
other and performing the integration together we have discussed the
possibility that we got to be too close friends somehow and are still
that way or perhaps remained too close even to the point of antenna
deploy and perhaps interfered with each other's deploy.? TLE indicated
separation is perhaps the only way to guesstimate that though.? If it
gives us something to maybe model or relate to past missions, we might
be able to infer that a possible cause was that we may have been close
for a while up to and including our antenna deploy times and something
may have happened as a result of that.? It would at least provide one
possible path to follow in looking for causes and maybe (and I mean
MAYBE) a solution.
Keep on watching for clues, thanks!

I see that AO-85 has been back in safe mode for a few days, after a day
with the transponder on.
Is it going to be left in safe mode or will the transponder be turned back
on again.?
