Dear Friends,

On Monday Dec-9, an AMSAT Argentina team will sail 100 km offshore from
Mar del Plata to launch the NEMO-1 buoy, callsign=LU7AA
http://amsat.org.ar/nemo.jpg. There will be an information network in
7095 LSB from 10hs-LU.

NEMO is the name given by Jules Verne in 1870 to the captain of the
Nautilus in his novel Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas.

NEMO means 'Nobody' in Latin and is also the name of a cute little fish
rescued by his father in the movie created by Disney Studios.

And it is the name with which AMSAT Argentina baptized the Buoy that will
sail free South Atlantic seas.

is to trace sea currents and propagation, in addition to demonstrating
that amateur radio can be part and contribute to the future.

The measurements and objectives to be shared are: QRP HF Propagation
during the tour, Marine Currents, Insolation, Temperatures, environment
according to route and schedules, Igate to APRS and terrestrial
satellites, test of solar cells, batteries, GPSs and equipment on board,
etc. , all data can be received by radio by whoever wants to do it
besides being public via the Internet.

NEMO-1, powered by solar cells and batteries, will emit 900mW WSPR in 20m
(14,095.6) and Packet-APRS in 2m 1W (144,930/144,390/145,825 the latter
at sea to be repeated by APRS satellites), please enable WSPR and APRS in
your station that will help to receive the Buoy and the Pico Balloon.
