I was SO excited to receive the email about launch.amsat.org member
portal. The instructions for gaining access were spot on, and I quickly
gained access to my account info from days gone by. Being able to access
the Journal online is a fantastic addition, and it was so nice to be able
to download an up-to-date satellite frequency guide.

My sincere thanks to the entire AMSAT team!

Instructions for updating FoxTelem (including Fox-in-a-box) so that
HuskySat-1 keps are now downloaded as HO-107.

Go to the Spacecraft menu and select Husky (or something else if you have
changed the name). In the upper left is a section that says "Name (for
Keps)" and the box to the right should say "HuskySat-1". Just change that
to HO-107. Done.

Note that HuskySat-1 is no longer in the downloaded keps, so the one you
have will get older and more out-of-date until you change the name. Don't
forget you will need to do something similar with MacDoppler or SatPC32 or
any other tracking program you have.

Concur, I use CQ SSTV on iPhone. Works great! I have also used MMSTV on
Windows laptop. Worst case, record it, clean up audio in Audacity and play
it back with one of those apps listening.

Hi Burns,

Thanks for the update.

It would be helpful, in general, to include the catalog number for
anything referring to a new satellite. My GPredict database, for
example, ended up with two entries for Huskysat-1, one for catalog
45119, and one for 45117. The spelling is slightly different: one with
a space before the "-", and one without. It took a good bit of digging
and cross-referencing to deduce that 45119 is (I believe) the correct one.

As soon as we see a report that 2-way SSTV through PSAT2 actually works,
then we can solicit the popular SSTV Authors to add the 31.25 Hz optional
modulation that will automatically bring up the SSTV (PSK31 actually)
transponder.

Will this be the first practical SSTV transponder? I know SSTV 2-way has
been done before, but with the Very low Doppler shift on the 10m uplink
and the no-tone Doppler on the FM downlink, this should be pretty straight
forward... And it does not compete with the high demand that prohibits
SSTV via other popular satellites.

Who will be first? (I updated these comments on the
http://aprs.org/psat2.html page).

And remember, you can do this on the identical HF/UHF PSK31 transponder on
PSAT too. That's two satellites supporting this mode.

And if still people don't use PSAT and PSAT2, for PSK31 or SSTV, then I
guess we could even open up the 10m uplink on PSAT2 to voice contacts!
(Cannot do this on PSAT since its uplink (28.120) is not in a voice
segment.

Yes, that should do it. Remember this one does not have AFC? Like the foxes,
so you do need to tune the uplink for doppler.73Rick Tejera (K7TEJ)Saguaro
