I have Hamsat on my iPhone. Look for the Manual Data Entry option on
the "Manage Sats" screen. There you can copy and paste the TLEs. I
have them working fine on mine since I don't have SatPC32 on the work
PC.

Hi Zach,

I use pulseaudio as a sort of virtual audio cable. You just have to add
a null sink and set gnuradio to play audio to the null sink (using
pavucontrol). Then you set foxtelem to record from the "null sink
monitor" (again using pavucontrol).

For me this solution, although not perfect in terms of latency and
resampling, works perfectly for easily piping the audio from one program
to another.

GoSatWatch is an iPhone app that is easy to add the new keps.
It's the most modern looking and user friendly which is a plus for a

Hi All,

On behalf of AMSAT-NL I would like to congratulate the FOX team at AMSAT
for their successful launch and the first telemetry received.

I understand that Jan PE0SAT in the Netherlands already successfully
uploaded telemetry to the servers. Well done.

I wish the team lots of FUN in space, and FOX-1A a long and prosper life.

Regards,.

As I read through the docs on the fox tlm program two things are not clear:

If I have a FunCube Dongle hooked to a USB port and antenna, do I need
to run any other software besides foxtelem.exe?
With the FCD on the USB port and the IQ box checked in foxtelem.exe what
should I see on the screen with no signal present? Noise, nothing?
How do I know, before the signal is there, if this is working and the
FCD is talking to foxtelem?

When I run the FCD software it can talk to the FCD dongle, set the freq,
etc. When I run foltelem there is no indication anything is talking to
anything else.

Jim

Yes, as I understand it it should be on 145.980 MHz.

I've got my Funcube Dongle Pro+ plumbed into FoxTelem. It seems to lie
in wait around 145.995-ish, but when I keyed up an HT at 145.980 it
slinked its way down and centered on the HT's signal (even without "Find
Signal" checked).

I even tried playing the test telemetry audio on another computer, with
the HT's mic held up near the speaker. I don't think it decoded
anything, but since the telemetry is "sub-audible" I imagine it got
filtered out by the HT. The squiggly lines on FoxTelem seemed to react
to the noise, so that confirms that it's hearing something.

I think I've got mine ready and waiting for the next fly-over, which
SatPC32 says starts at 23:57z down here in EM72 land.

Just a reminder - since the low data rate telemetry is subaudible, you
will likely need to use the 9600 baud data out pin (and select the
9600 baud packet mode in the 817 menu) to get the unfiltered audio for
decoding telemetry.
