If you are attempting to decode Fox-1A in IQ mode with Find Signal enabled,
then it will also search for signals from Fox-1Cliff and Fox-1D. But that
is a waste of time at the moment :)

You can fix that by removing the files from the spacecraft directory. You
only need to move the files that end in .dat. In fact, renaming the ending
is sufficient. Leave the file for Fox-1A of course.

I saw the last frame uploaded has reset count 44. What
is being reset? Is it resetting on it's own?

Got it going.
You must use the drop down box to the right of the "Start" button to
select your input source, then click "Start". That box starts out empty
rather than showing the first input device in the list and there is no
text there to prompt the selection of the input.
It now finds and listens fine to sound card audio input and the FCD.
You DO NOT need to run the FDC control program, FoxTelem will set the
freq, although there doesn't appear to be any feedback to show the FDC
got the message.

Yes, the 910 also has the audio for 9600 baud packet on a separate pin.

Yes. The speaker audio will filter out the subaudible tones. Data port does
not.

I heard no downlink during the pass here in DO33 which started just

Reset Count 44 is from the test telemetry we sent out with Fox-1A. It
seems that many are running the test wav files now and we don't have the
server yet up to speed on not showing those in the results. If you can
test but turn off the settings UPLOAD TO SERVER while you test, that
will help keep the web page to only "live" reports.

Disappointing. I normally decode ARISS as well as local APRS.
I heard the Voice ID gal very strongly, numerous times.
The program was set to get audio from the SignaLink USB just as MixW and
UISS are. Though they were no loaded.

On the IC910, I set "9600" on then after a while OFF then switched it
back again later.

Got no decodes nor heard anything in the form of a signal except the
Fox1 Safe Mode gal.

Can I get some guidance before nest pass?

thanks

I had a 30deg pass just now an using an arrow and Funcube dongle. I could
see the spike on the telemetry program. On my handheld with a rubber duck I
could hear the girl say Fox-1 every couple of minutes, but the program would
not move its tracking line to the carrier. The last one that came across I
moved it with the mouse and it then locked in and I just caught the ending
audio come over the speaker.
I haven't deleted the extra dat files, so I didn't have it in find mode.
Should it be?

You can't use regular audio, because it has the low frequencies we are using
for the data filtered out. That includes the sound through your Signalink.

Use must either use an SDR source, or the audio from the data out pin on the
back of your radio. Section 4.3 in the manual.

STRONG signal in EM97 at the VTGS. Managed to decode 5 frames.

Saw a little bit of weirdness in doppler shift. BUT.......that might
have been my gnuradio flowgraph mis-tuning (might need to check my
plus/minus signs in the next 1.5 hours for the next pass).

Other than looked good. Super pumped here, had two undergraduate
students with me helping out (John KK4BSM, Harry KM4ICI).

Thanks to those for the advice on piping sound into FoxTelem from GNU Radio.

Bob,

I have used sound card data at 9k6 with my IC910 for many years. I have
found that using an interface with isolation transformers, works poorly.

Try wiring directly from the 9k6 pin of the sub band on the IC910 to the
line-in of your desktop computer. I say desktop because many / most
laptops have a microphone input only. That will probably not work.

Secondly, the 9600 setting on the radio is a transmit setting, not
receive. If you want to try using the SignaLink to see if it will work,
move the strap inside the SignaLink to the 9k6 pin of the radio.

I have a low pass here in the west at 01:30u and a good one at 03:00u.
I will see what kind of success comes my way.
