Hi,

When I initially setup the FoxTelem program, I opened the "Settings"
screen, selected the checkbox labeled "Upload to Server", and entered my
call sign (WB4SON) as my "Ground Station Name". Finally I entered my six
digit grid square (FN41fn) to calculated the Lat/Lon from that, and saved
the settings. I left the two AMSAT server names alone, so they retained
their default values.

Over a couple of nights, I managed to receive and decode a couple dozen
telemetry frames, and assumed that they were making it to AMSAT. However,
when I checked at http://amsat.org/tlm/ my call sign does not appear.

Does anyone have an idea why my decoded frames might not be making it to
AMSAT? (The PC that is running FoxTelem has an working internet
connection)

As one of the folks involved in this, below is some information. Someone
talked about the added stress. Trust me, its there. I've got forty years
in as a broadcast engineer, and this "remote" has me very uptight! I
will be running the audio mix for the event. From the audio out of the
rig, into the gym audio system, and feeding a 16 port media box, to
running audio from the handheld mic back into the rig, if that fails,
its me. We are using a hand held EV mic, with a aux feed from the board
into the TS-2000. I have a pendant switch (nurse call like) that
controls the PTT, and there is a broadcast "On the Air" light to let
everyone know when the mic is hot.

And who is running the radio setup? Doug Paypay, KD8CAO. I have no
concerns. :) And Mike Wolthuis, KB8ZGL and the crew form the Lowell ARC
has done an amazing job in installing the antennas. Mike will be the
local and radio host. The local cable TV access channel will have a 4
camera setup (including one on the roof antennas) and will be producing
a 30 minute program on it.

I am looking forward to the event, and looking forward to LOS time even
more!

More info:

The West Michigan Aviation Academy
(http://www.westmichiganaviation.org) has been approved and scheduled
for a ARISS (Amateur Radio on the International Space Station) contact
with Kjell Lindgren (KO5MOS).

The ground station was put on loan from the Greenville Amateur Radio
Club (KD8RXD) and the event supported by the Lowell Amateur Radio Club
(W8LRC) and the Holland Amateur Radio Club (K8DAA). The event is being
taped with multiple cameras and is expected to be available on NASATV
(http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/) during the contact (possibly a
bit delayed).

Up to date information is available on twitter at #ISS_Ham_Radio
(https://twitter.com/ISS_Ham_Radio).

If you would like to stream the live audio to your local repeater
and/or listen it is available from several planned sources as follows:
IRLP ? the Great Lakes Reflector ? Channel 9617, Echolink ? the
*MICHIGAN* conference ? Node #96170. The audio stream will also be
available for any regular MP3 stream capable player (ie. iTunes,
WinAmp, Windows Media Player, etc) at the URL:
http://stream.kb8zgl.net:8000

Additional links with video as well as audio may be available, but
waiting on a final website for that ? follow the twitter feed for
further updates. Many local news teams are also planning to be on hand
from West Michigan ? tune in to your favorite news station to see if
we make the news!

If you have any questions, please feel free to send them to event
coordinator Mike Wolthuis ? KB8ZGL email addresskb8zgl@xxxxxx.xxx

Hi Bob,

My best guess is, that the OS Firewall is blocking outgoing data coming
from the FoxTelem software. Have a look at the logging from your
firewall software
and see if is being dropped.

Yep...there you go right from the horses mouth so to speak. I forgot to
throw I. The part about the media. They generally show up on contact day and
want to know if they can plug into your audio. If you are an average ham,
you just passed out because you either weren't set up for that or you have
no idea how to do it. Most ground crews are average hams, most haven't
worked a satellite let alone an often 100-700 person media event with one
chance to get it right.

Pass schedules plans the next 24 hours:

10/21/2015 2100-2130Z - EM25/26 Line near Coweta, OK for a AO7(B)
Central US footprint, and a FO29 Western US Footprint
10/21/2015 2300-2340Z - EM16 for AO7(B), XW2E, XW2F, LilacSat2 (If I
make good time thru Tulsa)
10/22/2015 0030-0100Z - EM16 for XW2E, XW2F, LilacSat2
10/22/2015 1345-1415Z - EM17/EM18 Line Near Newton, KS for XW2E, XW2F,
LilacSat2

I was really hoping AO85 would be up and working, as several of my stop
points included passes, but I understand the engineering team needs to
do their thing. I may also work some impromptu EM17 passes later tonight
and early tomorrow morning, but that will depend on my non-sat activities.

Plans 24-72 hours :

After that I'll be heading west towards Garden City, KS where I will be
spending the night. I plan on stopping in EM08/EM07 and DM98/DM97 for
SO50/FO29 at different points on 10/22/15 as the afternoon progresses. I
will be in Holly, CO Friday and Saturday, and DM88/DM87 will likely be
activated on those days.

Plans 72 Hours+ :

Watch Twitter @xxxxxx for latest updates. I try and post as far ahead of
time as I can, but sometimes it's as little as 15 minutes prior.

73!

Everyone,
I have permission to connect the MICHIGAN Echolink conference to the AMSAT
Echolink conference. If all goes as planned the audio should also be
available on the AMSAT conference direct from the school.

I've been downloading the TLE's from Celestrak/NORAD/amateur but the FOX-1

things to shake out and get added to this list or am I missing something

AO-85, being a secondary payload on a classified mission, will never
appear on Celestrak unless government policies regarding kep

I've been downloading the TLE's from Celestrak/NORAD/amateur but the FOX-1
TLE's are not in that list (yet).? Does it typically take a couple weeks for
things to shake out and get added to this list or am I missing something
else?
