In preparation for upcoming ISS SSTV events you can use this recording
to make sure your SSTV app/software can properly decode SSTV
transmission like the ones the ISS will be sending, which use the
PD120 mode. It's available on YouTube, SoundCloud and as an mp3
download via Dropbox:

Amen, brother! I can only guess how many times I've sent my info to an
unattended computer, expecting an answer in return.

Do you mean when you boot or login, it is supposed to start automatically?
Not so far as I know. Or at least if it you can do that, it's a function
of the OS setting and not SatPC32 itself. Try starting it up and right
clicking on the icon. I don't have a PC in front of me to check, but the
Mac has a Option submenu to automatically start on login. Maybe Windows
has something similar?

Hi,
I will be operating from DM43 tomorrow in Arizona from December 22-31. Im
using a FT-8900 and the Arrow only so no SSB birds, just FM only. There may
be possibilitys of operating in another grid. This is a personal enjoyment
trip so don't expect me to be on every pass. Its also going to give me a
test run of how well the 8900 does on the birds. I will operate on AO-85,
SO-50, and Lilacsat-2 if its on. I will also get to see if I can get into
AO-85 with about 10-20W with my Arrow.

We simply need a published User Service Agreement.
We had one for PCSAT so that everyone knew the rules.
http://aprs.org/pcsat/contract.txt

And one for everyone of our satellites.

Generally, unattended beacons were *not* authorized except for remote data
experiments and then those authorized beacon rates were once every 2
minutes. The rules for attended operators were also posted. Without
clear rules for everyone to follow, then service degrades for everyone.

All:

Monitored the last GO-32 pass expecting to see ID frames or perhaps an
APRS station, but I didn't capture anything. Signals were quiet strong
so I'm wondering if there might be a problem with the satellite that
would cause it not to ID? I'll try APRS on the next (20:00z) pass to see
if it will digi my signals.

Just got on EO-79.
Heard KO4MA but could not hear my signal so I had to hunt for it.
After adjusting +12 kHz I heard myself.
I then worked N1JEZ, and K4FEG with strong signals.
By the time I did all of this my signal was dropping fast so I signed out.

So far it seems like another great satellite to play with.

GO-32 has been in a beacon only mode for several years.

I've been off the air with satellites for several years so that explains
it! Just re-installed my M2 antennas and new preamps.

Not sure why I didn't decode GO-32's beacon.

Thanks

I found the receiver to be more stable than ao73 but I also found the

Hi Jeff,

Many thanks for the report...actually the same radio but as we are sharing
the platform with another radio system we "only" have 1/4 wave monopole
antennas rather than the full dipoles that we have on FC1.

The actual effects of this difference in practise may be interesting to
observe.

Also note that the filter passband is wider in this satellite and is also
less flat. This spreads out the power a bit more, and also created a sweet
spot. But the RX should be very sensitive, so it should be no problem to
work in the entire passband.

Mike:

Thanks for taking the time to help. I have the XW-2F telemetry decoder
running with your OnlineKiss program along with the AGW packet engine.
The AGWPE is connected to an SCS Tracker modem which runs 9.6K. I'm told
that it should decode even thought he XW-2F modem runs GMSK?

I'm currently testing the setup on 2 meter APRS just to see if the data
would flow and as you can see below, it does seem to be working.

I wasn't sure which of the 3 KISS files to load that are contained in
the AGW OnlineKiss directory so I just chose one.

The XW-2F bird is approaching as I write this so I'll let you know if it
works.

Thanks again...

All:

I'm glad to be back working satellites again after many years, but I can
see that I have a lot to catch up on.

I'd rather not flood the mailing list with a lot of redundant questions
so I'd appreciate it if someone with the knowledge of telemetry modems
and decoders would contact me off-line at: dxdx@xxxxxxxxx.xxx

Thanks..
