As Bryce suggested, Fox-1C has an active crowdsourcing campaign.

There are several linear LEOs in the pipeline (two in orbit awaiting
activation for amateur use, several others in various stages).

In orbit, awaiting activation for amateur use:
EO-79 (QB50p1)
UKube-1

Essentially complete, awaiting launch opportunity:
KiwiSat

Also in the pipeline:
CAS-2A1
CAS-2A2

I know there are other projects in various planning stages too.

The Fox-2 program, which will commence once the Fox-1 series satellites are
completed, will also have linear transponder capability through it's
software defined transponder. I'm sure crowdsourcing will be used again
when the time comes. The best way to support Fox-2 right now is to help
it's predecessors get into orbit!

Paul, N8HM

Having used both the RTL dongle and a FunCube Dongle Pro (not PLUS), I'd
say the FCD, hands down.
Keeping RF out of it is manageable. On relay to switch between TX and
RX input. Another relay between RXinput and the FCD which switches to a
dummy load on transmit -- doubles the isolation.

AND, use a sequencer, so the relay switching is done before the
transmitter is ever keyed.

Your transmitter will approve.

Good luck & 73,
Jim

Joe,

You put down the FM birds, but when was the last time you were on any of
the satellites? I have just over 4000 QSOs in the log dating back to March
2008 and I've never heard you.

I am having difficulty with SATPC32 tracking the ISS accurately. ?All other
satellites appear to track OK but the ISS is way off compared to several web

this problem. ?Please respond off the AMSAT-BB to WA7ETH@xxxxxxxx.xxx

Have you updated your TLEs recently? I noticed a few times predictions of
ISS can be way off in gpredict/amsatdroid and it was always fixed when I
updated the TLEs.

My theory is that this is due to the corrections the ISS makes to stay at
the right height and avoid space debris which makes it less predictable
than amateur satellites that just stay in orbit and can't correct their
course. I am open to corrections on this theory.

As you mentioned, they frequently raise the height of the ISS to compensate
for the relatively high
drag. For every km the orbit is raised, the AOS shifts approximately 19-20
seconds per day compared
with the old Keps. It is usually a few km boost, so the error adds up
quickly. As a result, you need
to update the Keps frequently from CelesTrak or directly from Space-Track.
The NASA.ALL Keps are
selected for satellites of interest to hams, but are only updated weekly.
Fortunately the Keps change
very slowly for other satellites, except in the last few days before reentry.

73s,

Alan
WA4SCA
