Does anyone know the status of the Triton-1 and LO-75 satellites?

I was just on the Triton webpage and there were no updates. Any
information would be appreciated.

Thanks Tom

I been wanting to do this for a while but guess I kind of forgot to try.
Well I saw a pass of fo29 was coming up tonight so I got it setup in about
10 minutes. Took a bit to install software and get it setup. I got all the
cables switched over and was ready with minutes to spare.

I was using fcdpro+ with hdsdr and ft897 all hooked to satpc32.

Results were pretty good. Got on frequency with myself fairly quick and
then worked kg6nub, wa4nvm, and aa5pk before the pass was over.

Kg6nub was also using a very similar setup except he was controlling ft817
manaully for the uplink.

Hope more people try this out as its pretty fun to see the whole passband
at the same time. Only downside is having to swap coax cables for mode j to
mode b passes.

Hi all,

I wanted to let all of you know that I will be activating K2BSA/5 for a
Radio Merit Badge workshop at the National Scouting Museum in Irving, Texas
in EM12 on Saturday, September 13th. Unfortunately the only satellite
operation I will be able to do that day will be a 1545Z SO-50 western pass.
I would like to make a good show for the Scouts for the workshop that we
will have in tow so please keep this activity in mind and give us a shout.
I plan to have the Scouts shout back at you.

73 and see you then.

Lo 75 is still operational in sun only and about ? the time is putting
carrier only and the rest of the time it is operational. It is close to end
of life and you need to update the TLE every week

Paulo PV8DX has spotted that the current ISS Work Plan at
http://www.mcc.rsa.ru/plan.htm has a 15 minute slot allocated for SSTV
operation on Friday, September 5.

Perhaps this is just a test of the system, maybe trying some different
software settings to see if they can get some tones transmitted ??

If so let's hope it works.

That is great.

K4AMG did a CUB SCOUT CAMP in Norfolk, VA this summer about 400 kids.

We have been asked to do a JOTA in October for a CUB den in Virginia Beach.
We will only use 2 meters but will show OSCAR stuff, and some games and all
dealing with amateur radio.

Hope you make lots of "Qs" and get the guys hot on electronics and wireless
communications.

God Bless
