Hello,

We are students from IIT Bombay, we wnated to check are Groundstation link
for UHF frequencies. Does anyone know if there are any satellites
transmitting FSK signals at UHF band over India continuously. We are not
looking for anything that requires an uplink for transmitting back but
suggestions are welcome.

Hi All,

Just to report that FUNcube-1, AO-73, is now back in autonomous
operation. The transponder will be active when the spacecraft is in
eclipse during the week.

Anyone else here using this program?

I'm having a problem adding in the nasabare

When I do the program crashes.

I just got back to putting my sat station back together over the past month
or so after a couple of years of inactivity.

One of the things I dusted off was my Az/El rotor and controller project,
that uses a pan/tilt base (the type used for BIG outdoor security cameras)
as a positioner for my sat antennas.

I built some microcontroller firmware for a cheapo eBay relay board that
emulates a GS232 controller, and steers the pan/tilt base. This was
basically done a couple years ago, but never got around to sharing the
code. Perhaps it could be useful in somebody else's project.

I've now put it online here: https://github.com/bgelb/sat_rotor.

Ben N1VF

Hi All,

I made it to New Liskeard, ON tonight after a fumbled start. EO90 is a
short drive north of Abitibi Canyon, ON which is a 4.5 hour drive from
here. I'll arrive on site tomorrow afternoon, which leaves little time
for passes. This is what I propose for Monday. Sorry, it isn't much!
However, I'll spend Monday night in Smooth Rock Falls which puts me much
closer for a fuller day on Tuesday.

SO-50 and AO-85 are the "money birds" for me. However, the ways the
orbits are there isn't much opportunity to use them in the daytime.

A quick way to see what is available in LOTW is to look here:

C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\TrustedQSL\config.xml

For safety, copy it somewhere else, and then open the file and search for
<satellites> which will give
you a list of the current ones recognized, and the name to use.

For instance: <satellite name="UKUBE1"
startDate="2016-06-01">UKube-1</satellite>

I use this to update the DXKeeper list when needed.

For the past week or so, Randy, WI7P (ex N7SFI) has been uploading many
of his old logs to LoTW and you might find credit for many of his grid
operations. He was one of the first ones to work us from a grid other
than his home grid with way more than 100 grids. One time he was
maritime mobile, kayaking on a river. He also operated from the 2002
Winter Olympics in Park City Utah.
