Anyone know if this Yaesu rig is compatible with satpc32 and is using one
for it for one aspect of satellite communication, either uplink or down
link?

Definitely compatible.
I use 2 for full duplex.

Glad to work you, even though that was a messy pass. I will upload the
contacts to LoTW and get a QSL card ready for you tonight.

Congratulations! ... looking forward to more good news on actually operating
satellites. (instead of obsessing on web pages not updated per personal
agendas). Folks, this list was created for sharing good news like this :-)

Thanks, Patrick. Glad to get that one in your log. That was my 9th
NPOTA activation of the year. I hope to get several more done before
23:59 UTC on December 31, 2016. I've set a goal of 25, but not all
will be on satellite.

Since I generally walk to these sites, satellite activating can
actually be a bit more of a challenge than my HF activations. I hope
to do a few more before the end of the year.

DZ05 (National Capital Parks - a catch-all for random NPS land in the
National Capital Region) and DZ06 (the National Mall) are both just
short walks from my apartment, so I hope to at least get those on the
satellites again and possibly do an FM pass or two as well. The Arrow
may draw a bit too much attention to myself at some of the other
units. With HF, I'm just sitting on the ground with a small magnetic
loop, not pointing at things with a weird looking device!

Hi Rich, years ago I used an FT-897 for the uplink with a FT-817 for a
little more oomph while running sat portable. As the FT-897 and the FT-857
share the same interface, you should be good to go...

Monday morning will be the last time I am on from Moosonee before taking the
train out at 5:00 pm (2100 utc).? I'm going to hit the satellites hard, with
10 scheduled passes as follows:

1213 - XW-2A,
1240 - XW-2C,
1324 - FO29,
1343 - AO7,
1505 - FO29,
1533 - AO7,
1649 - FO29,
1720 - AO7,
1837 - FO29,
1909 - AO7

I will be on all of these passes as long as there is demand.? Once I go one
or two passes with no QSOs I'll shut down and pack up.? I understand this
might happen because the weekend is over and everyone is back to school or
work tomorrow.
