Greetings all. I have not seen much chatter on the BB about the Symposium
and just wondering who all here is going?

We are. This will be my first one and am looking forward to it.

Anyone having any issues with foxtelem uploading data? before I moved it
worked fine, now that I have moved and my location data has changed it
looks to be sending data but the leaderboard never shows anything making
it in.

Thanks

Kevin,

I used FoxTelem last night to upload telemetry from
a pass without problems. I didn't upload the telemetry
"live" during the pass, but used a recording from my
SDR software piped into FoxTelem to send the telemetry
later in the evening. I saw the frames show up for my
call on the http://amsat.org/tlm/ page (WD9EWK-DM43).
Did something uncheck the "Upload to server" box in the
FoxTelem settings?

We have an amazing group of individuals attending the Symposium this
year. There are amateur radio operators coming from all over the world.

There are people who have played key roles in the development and
successful missions of the past and future. People who represent
worldwide projects, not just AMSAT-NA will be there.

Some of the most active operators in the US will be in attendance. A few
of the attendees have already received their IARP so they can operate
from aboard the ship.

Many attendees are traveling with their families and friends.

This is a unique venue. Things may be different than in past Symposiums.
Come with an open mind and be prepared to meet a lot of interesting
people. The presentation schedule, soon to be published, is a little
lighter than in past years (10 on the docket.) That being said, multiple
projects are underway and there will be plenty to discuss.

See you there,

Patrick,

I checked that the box was checked, and while it is decoding live I
see the Queued blip with a 1 then zero so it looks like it is sending
something out. I have seen your call in the "from ground stations" but I
never see mine, I have tried removing and re-installing foxtelem, kinda
at a loss as to whats happening.

Thanks for the suggestions 73

Kevin

Kevin,

Did you change your station Groundstation Name in the settings? A
Groundstation Name that has spaces in it e.g. N0JY Home will not show on
the server. You need to fill e.g. N0JY-Home or N0JY_Home.

Jerry,

I do not think I had any spaces in there but I just deleted it and
re-entered my call sign, I have tried both upper and lower case for my
call sign.

Jerry,

There are some reporters with spaces which show:

N7DJX Earth
Sputnix R2ANF
AF5VH - DM65
W4IMT Eugenio
Urban Johansson
Chris FN30

The problem is that when they show in the "From ground stations" at the top,
you don't see an packets
when you click on the link, even though they are reflected in the main list.
 According to Chris.

73s,

Alan

Satellite Aficionados,

Due to a scheduled knee replacement, I will not be participating in
this year's Symposium/Cruise. However, since all the Sat Ops will
be on the Ship, I volunteer to be one of the few stations still at home
for you all to have someone to contact. ? ;-)

BTW, I've been to Cozumel several times and found it to be a very
nice place for shore excursions. I recommend the Dune Buggy Tour
which circumnavigates the island and makes a number of interesting
stops at beaches, a lunch/bar, scenic viewpoints and a Tequila distillary
offering generous samples. Vehicles are standard shift. Motorscooters
are readily available for rental if you want to venture on your own. But,
extreme caution is necessary since the main town is very busy and the
traffic uses "Mexican Rules" - whoever gets there first has the right
of way. Via con Dios!

GL/73, ? ? ?Bob ?K8BL ??

Have been away from sats for a few months. Have seen new sat postings.

Looking for a list of sats to populate my SATpc32 software.

Have FO29, AO7, SO50, but would like to get current with some monitoring.
