I was hoping someone with a better memory, or Erich would chime in on this
but here goes. I would first add this line to the Doppler.SQF file...

BY70-1,436200,145920,FM,FM,Nor,0,0,Voice V/U

Then add this line to the subTone.SQF file...

BY70-1,67.0,$3F,1 (for an Icom, I'm not sure of other rigs, but you can
watch your rigs display to see if the tone is toggled on/off) RTFM

Then I download the keps from nasa.all (I was fudging them in for a day) and
you should be good to go when you add BY70-1

Mark,

I also get the ?E/A-Fehler 105.? error message when I add BY70-1 to a
satellite group in SatPC32. Other people don?t have the problem.

The error message (in German) means I/O Error 105 in the Delphi programming
environment, which I believe is an error writing to a file.

What I can?t yet answer is how to fix the problem. We may have a file
permissions problem.

Anybody have a solution or know where to look?

Hi!

Weather permitting, I am planning to operate from the Tonto
National Monument - east of Phoenix, NPOTA site MN70 - during
the day tomorrow. This site is not in a rare grid, but the
same grid I live in (DM43). Even though it is in DM43, it will
take almost 2 hours to drive out there. I'll work various FM,
SSB, and packet satellites throughout the day, hoping to start
around 1600 UTC.

I have not been out there in a couple of years, but I remember
that mobile phone coverage is spotty out there. I hope to be
able to use my @xxxxxx Twitter feed to send out updates from
the monument, which will show up in a web browser at:

http://twitter.com/WD9EWK

APRS should cover me at the monument and along the highway
that goes past the monument. I'll use WD9EWK-9 as my APRS
call sign for the drive to and from the monument, and for
any ISS and NO-84 passes I work from there. WD9EWK-9 should
be visible at (among other sites):

http://aprs.fi/WD9EWK-9

The NPOTA activation will end no later than 2359 UTC, and
probably some time before that. Between the drive back to
the Phoenix area and wanting to record the WWV broadcast
of the leap second at 23:59:60 UTC, I won't try to work
every possible pass up to the end of the year on the UTC
clock.

All QSOs made from Tonto National Monument will be uploaded
to Logbook of the World after I return home, except for the
QSOs made via BY70-1. BY70-1 QSOs will go into Logbook of the
World once ARRL adds that satellite to the system. If you
would like to receive a QSL card for any QSOs made with
WD9EWK, please e-mail me directly with the QSO details. No
need to send me your card or an SASE to get my card.

73!

Thanks, Jeff. Been there, done that, still get the error.

My Doppler.SQF and SubTone.SQF files look exactly as you suggest.
My keps are fresh this morning, but same happened with yesterday's keps, as
well.

I have an old Yaesu G-5400 that I use with either a Fox Delta ST3 or an

Just dropping a quick line to report that nothing has been heard (
Transponder or Dashboard ) from AO-73
during the evening passes over here in Europe.
I just monitored the latest pass 2000 2015 hrs today Saturday 31st
December and could hear nothing.
I have posted to the satellite status web pages and other stations had also
made reports for this pass and the previous one.
I worked AO-73 this morning and it was active but observed very deep fading
which I put down to the spin rate. Looking at the graph published the
spin rate was now projected to be in the same ball part as when the
satellite was launched and activated.

Ken

Thank you for your report Ken!

I will be investigating during the next pass over Europe and possibly
rectifying the situation.
Fingers crossed!

Hi all,

FUNcube-1 / AO-73 has been restored. Nothing serious, all telemetry
looks healthy.
Enjoy the transponder and Happy New Year!

Thank you Ken GW1FKY for the report
