I sent the original message to BBS@ because:
1 - I am sysop of multiple BBS for different clubs and don't need 5 copies.
2 - The contents are not that important where it justifies such.
Guys will do what they wish, that's been made obvious over the
years.
3 - Sysop@ should be used for more higher priority mail.
4 - My mail was not meant to be intrusive as sysop@ is.

So as you admit, you *can* control what you do receive. This is very important
to know just how to control all mail flow - that which you wish to receive
and that which you don't.

There was a lot wrong with the way that message was sent. Just because a mail
was directed to @ww that doesn't give folks the free-for-all to just kick it
out to where ever. Proper neighboring paths still apply with -radio shortest
path first- taking priority! I see certain softwares putting &internet path
first& as it's priority, and that's not in the spirit of amateur RADIO.

Actually, @latnet and @franca have been around as long as I can recall,
and that's 25+ years. You can't specify latin speaking people to just one
particular country. There's those in South America who are latina/o in nature
and those in the Caribbean, and of course Spain. As a sysop if you wish
not to relay these groups then simply add them to your reject listing and
whoever is trying to shove them down your throat will have to find another
outlet, perferrably one closer to themselves in the direction that it needs
to go to.

There used to be such a thing for specialty groups but with so many systems
going dark and new untrained systems coming up things have really gone
amuck.

Amen! You don't *have* to accept and/or forward/relay every piece of mail
received. There's nothing in any software manuals that explain just how
to be a good sysop or what any standards are *because there are NO such
standards* these days. The last set drafted are a decade old and I do
have a copy. A revisit of these to bring them up to current date would
help those who -do elmer- immensely so that those who are looking to bring
up a new BBS will know just what/why/how to do what they need to do.
FYI: each of your paragraphs were received as *1* line each, no line feeds
at all. This is typical of faulty editing sofware. Fortunately for display
purposes, my copy of Evolution was able to give me line breaks.
