6M, SOUTH KOREA. By the time you read this, a South Korean group will
have a "6m DX Propagation Experimental Station" up and running between
June 19th and July 31st. The callsign will be 6M6M. Activity will be
on CW, SSB, FM and the Digital modes. They will operate from the Gyeonggi

A9, BAHRAIN. Fawaz, A92AA, will be active from Bahrain (AS-002) during
the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 25-26th) as a Single-Op entry. QSL via A92AA

BV0, TAIWAN. Members of the Amateur Radio Taipei (ART) will be active as
BV0TW from Taiwan (AS-020) during the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 25-26th)

C4, CYPRUS. The Cyprus Headquarters (HQ) team will participate in IARU
HF World Championship Contest (July 11-12th). Several contest stations
across Cyprus will hit the airwaves on Saturday, July 11th, starting 1200
UTC using the special contest callsign C4HQ. There will be stations on
all six HF contest bands (10-160m) on both CW and SSB. The team states,
"Please look out for us! Our contest exchange will be our signal report
followed by =91CARS=92 the official IARU abbreviation of the Cyprus Amateur
Radio Society. This is our third entry in the contest with an HQ station
and for the first time we will be making several awards available to
stations that will work us on several band/mode slots, with a minimum of
six contacts on different band/modes required to secure an award. We are
also offering sprint awards to stations that are able to contact C4HQ on
the highest number of band/mode slots in the shortest period of time! All
awards will be offered to eligible stations free of charge. For more
information about our C4HQ entry in the IARU HF World Championship,

C6, BAHAMAS. Just a reminder that Pete, VE3IKV, will be active as C6AUX
from the Baycaner Beach Resort at Pirate's Well on Mayaguana Island in
the far southern Bahamas Islands (Grid FL32) between June 22nd and July
6th. Activity will be on 6 meters using CW and SSB. This will be the same
set-up as at TF/VE3IKV. QSL direct via VE3IKV.
CO/T40, CUBA. Organized by Grupo DX de Cuba (GDXC), the Federaci=F3n de
Radioaficionados de Cuba (FRC) will be active as a Headquarter entry
with the callsign T40HQ, during next IARU HF Championship. This is the
fourth time the FRC is active in this category since 2009 when using the
callsign T40C. Setup includes 11 different stations in seven cities from
western to eastern side of the island. Most of them will be using homebrew

FO, FRENCH POLYNESIA. Heinz, DF1YP, will once again be active as FO/DF1YP
from Moorea Island (OC-046, Pointe Aroa Light ARLHS FRP 004 and WLOTA
0465) between September 5th and October 1st. Activity will be holiday

FR/J, JUAN DE NOVA (Update). The following was posted June 15th [edited]:
Arrangements for our next operation to Juan de Nova island are ongoing. We
began the logistic operations by conditioning part of the equipment which
will be implemented and we finalize some partnerships to supplement our
equipment by taking into consideration the imposed constraints. Today, Juan
de Nova comes 6th in the ClubLog Most Wanted DXCC listing, but after all
major operations planned at the end of the year/early 2016, the island
should be the 3rd most wanted DXCC, just behind the North Korea and Crozet!
One month after the announcement of the operation, we started to contact
associations, clubs and foundations in order to help us to collect the
necessary budget. This year particularly, this phase promises to be a
true marathon, especially with the many other expeditions in the same time
window. Right now, about a dozen sponsors already responded positively as
well as sixty individual donators. We sincerely thank all these structures
and their members for their generosity and their assistance, that is
essential in this kind of adventure.
On June 12th, the NCDXF (Northern California DX Foundation) notified to
us that a major contribution of 25,000 USDs has been granted to our
operation. For 42 years, the NCDXF has contributed to finance expeditions
in the rarest regions and make possible ambitious projects. We want to
sincerely thank the NCDXF, its members and contributors who make DX
operations possible.
This important help is a great step ahead for our team and we hope that
other good surprises will follow. At the present time, we are far from
reaching the necessary budget. The expenses this year are very important.
Although we are very vigilant on each euro spent, there are costs like
taxes, transport which remain incompressible and it will be necessary to
support them in one way or another while trying not to cut down on the
quantity of equipment that we hope to set-up.
We invite each DXer or sympathizer to visit our website and make a
donation through the Paypal option. We are conscious that many of you
will not hesitate to take part to the collective effort sometime during
the operation or afterwards. In this kind of adventure, the major part of
the expenses have to be paid before the departure; then, why wait until
the last moment?

from Kashin Island betwee June 24-28th, depending on weather

NA-014. Mike, KI1U, will be active as KI1U/VE9 from Grand Manan Island
(CISA NB-003, WLOTA 0082) between June 25-29th. Activity will
be mainly CW and the Digital modes on 80-10 meters. His activity

NA-068. (Correction) Operators Scott/VE1QD and Dick/VE1AI will be active

NA-212. Dan, HR2DMR, is expected to be active as H76W from Farallones
de Cosiguina during the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 24-25th).

KP2, U.S VIRGIN ISLANDS (Correction). Operators John/WA4PSO and his son
Sean/N5PV will be active as KP2/WA4PSO and KP2/N5PV (TYPO last week; not
KP2/N5PN) from the Radio Reef DX'ers Station rental shack (KP2M) on St.
Croix Island (NA-106) between June 16-23rd. Activity will be holiday
style on all bands using CW, SSB and the Digital modes. QSL both via

LX, LUXEMBOURG (LX9YL Project). An International YL team will be active
using the special callsign LX9YL from Eisenborn between August 7-10th.
The team will consist of Dora/HB9EPE, Johanna/DJ5YL, Mado/F1EOY, Christine/
F4GDI, Claudine/F5JER, Tina/DL5YL, Evelyne/F5RPB and Sophie/F4DHQ. They
plan to have three stations on the air covering 160-6 meters using CW,
SSB and the Digital modes (PSK31, 63, 125 and RTTY). The logs will be

OJ0, MARKET REEF (Press Release). Jarmo, OH2BN, sent out the following
on June 15th: LAST NIGHT ON MARKET REEF - OJ0B CLOSING DOWN JUNE 15,
2015 AT 1500 UTC -- CLEAR BUT WINDY EVENING ON THE REEF WITH OJ0B OPERATORS
TEARING DOWN LARGE MOONBOUNCE 2M ARRAY AND REPORTING 462 SOLID 2M EME/MS
QSOs -- It's only some years back when using the moon as a reflector was
considered a fun activity shared by just a few science types. Now techno-
logy has reached a point where hundreds of QSOs are possible but still
it takes some endurance. Jussi, OH6ZZ, and Jukka, OH8MSM, have shown such
a spirit, demonstrating the tricks of moonbounce QSOs for regular DX-
pedition types. They have logged all continents and more than fifty
contacts with the U.S. and Canada. They have operated and slept in the
damp storage room of the lighthouse wearing arctic outfits as June temper-
atures are still running low out at sea.
Martti, OH2BH, and Kim, OH6KZP, picked up where Pekka, OH2TA, and Niko,
OH2GEK, left off a few days ago. The HF total is more than 8000 QSOs and
that includes 200+ on 50 MHz. They tested the SPE Expert 1.3 solid-state
amps and ran more than 1 kW from a shaky lighthouse power source. These
lightweight amps have proven to be real workhorses, easy to carry when
landing with a rubber Zodiac in rough seas.
The weather was cooperative and all the maintenance work was completed;
the fixed HF beam is now back in shape after an ice storm which had knocked
down most of the elements.
OJ0B logs will be uploaded to ClubLog and OQRS will be activated later
this week. Now the tired but happy DXpeditioners are waiting for the sea
to calm down, gazing at the horizon in anticipation of returning home to
enjoy the upcoming Midsummer festivities, a festival of the summer solstice.

PACIFIC TOUR CONTINUES. By the time you read this, Bob, VK2RG, should be
active as V73RG from Majuro, Marshall Islands, starting Monday, June 22nd,
for a one week operation which could be extended to another week. Activity
should be just like his recent T2RG Tuvalu operation, using a Yaesu FT-857D
and a multiband dipole for 30-10 meters, possibly 40m, using SSB, JT65
and WSPR. Watch the SSB nets. After finishing his activities from Majuro,
Bob will fly to Tarawa (OC-017), West Kiribati. He will receive his T32
callsign upon his arrival and operate for a week there. QSL via his home

PJ2, CURACAO. Owen, LA9PTA, will be active as PJ2/LA9PTA from Curacao
between July 12-31st. Activity will be on 80-6 meters SSB only. He is
using an Alinco Dx-70, Ldg at-200 pro2 tuner, Alpha ez military antenna
with a 13 foot whip. QSL via his home callsign.
PJ5, ST. EUSTATIUS (Update). Operators Rich/K5AND, Chris/W3CMP and Terry/
K4RX will be active as PJ5/homecall and PJ5A from St. Eustatius (NA-145,
WLOTA 1851, WWFF PAFF-0025, WW Loc. FK87) between June 25th and July 6th.
Activity will have an emphasis on 6 meters but with some HF and Low Band

T31, CENTRAL KIRIBATI. Last week we mentioned that Lee, T31LP, was active
from Nikumaroro Island (OC-043). Well, reports indicate that he is operating
onboard the vessel "Nai'a", which is alongside the SS Norwich City, offshore
of Nikumaroro island. This means T31LP is NOT good for DXCC or IOTA. There
may be a chance he may yet operate on land. LISTEN to what he says (boat or
land).
TF, ICELAND. Jeff, F4GGQ, will be active as TF/F4GGQ from Iceland (EU-021)
between August 10-16th. Activity will be only on SSB, holiday style. QSL

of the 90th anniversary of R.E.F on various dates in June, July, October

USI NEWS. Jay Chamberlain, NS4J, USI Webmaster and Awards Chairman,
reports: The US Islands Award Program (USI) has announced a new date
for the W/VE Island QSO Party for 2015. It will be held between 1200z,
Saturday, August 29th and 0300z, Sunday, August 30th. The complete details
on rules and scoring changes can be found at: http://www.usislands.org
V6, MICRONESIA. Kouchi, JR2GAG, will be active as V63GG from Kolonia,
Pohnpei Island (OC-010), between June 29th and July 5th. Activity will
be mostly on 20-6 meters, but he will be able to go to 160-40 meters.

YJ, VANUATU. Geoff, ZL3GA, will once again be active as YJ0GA from the
Benjor Beach Club on Efate Island (OC-035) between July 21-27th. Activity
will be on the beach in the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 24-25th) using 100
watts into a an End Fed Half Wave vertical and as a Single-Op/Single-Band
(20m)/Mixed-Mode entry. QSL via his home callsign, direct, by the Bureau
