Brazilian telecomunication authority ANATEL announced
on 16th April 2016 with its act (ATO Nº 1.085, DE 15 DE ABRIL DE 2016)
that during the Olympic Games during months August and September 2016
working of foreign hamradio stations is permitted free of brazilian
license and charges from brazilian territory. Stations can use a callsign
similar to CEPT system i.e. PY/homecall. The permission is valid
for all modes and bands and within homecall license power limit.
