Caterham Radio Group is putting on an HF demo station at Kenley RAFA's
(RAFA Portcullis Pub grounds) south end of Kenley Aerodrome, Caterham.
This year as WWII RAF Kenley's "hardest day" was actually on 18th, on air
activity planned. The usual commemerative WW11 flypast @
15:30 but as most Merlin Engines have been grounded exactly what will fly over,
is unknown. There is also a Portcullis "car" boot sale of old card parts?
RADIO STATION TIMES
The radio station will be active from 9:30 to 17:00 on SSB on HF bands 160m-10m
with a IC735, DRAKE 400W PA, & QRO ATU into a G5RV @ 40ft. An RF proof AF PA
system will be there for the public to listen in to.
