What I was getting at is what I tell EVERYONE:
Get Backups!
If you had a backup you'd have a fully functional FBB system in which sysop
was already configured for you and you would not be in this prediciment
you're in now.
For you to go off the way you did makes you seem pretty guilty of something.

You may do whatever you wish to do. Personally I don't care who does what.
What I did inform you is if you wished to network via RF you had to comply
with what the region used and you chose to use wired internet. That's your
choice - so be it. It was also you who asked on @WW so that's where you get
your reply.

What are you spewing? Do you always mislead yourself so blindly? I've never
seen such an inaccurate post in my life on here. I would have shipped you
hardware but you chose not to take FREE HARDWARE. I would have burned you
eproms but you turned those down as well. Our config works with modern
TNCs and you chose to reject that as well.

NO NO NO. YOU GAVE ME ROOT not me because you did NOT know linux or any
linux sysadmin skills and needed someone who knew them to get your system
running in compliance with our reginal configuration. I did what YOU ASKED ME
TO DO AND ONLY THAT. Now you're implying I did something else to your system?
Being a sysop also means you need to have system admin skills which you appear
to lack. Why are you griping at me for your ignorance to the system we run
in the region? Do you even know why we don't use NetRom or INP3? Don't
answer, I'm really NOT interested in your interpritation. I'm sure it's
wrong anyway. As for documentation I've *always* had man pages available.
Man (since you don't seem to know) is short for manual aka: documentation
pages. I've pointed you to those often when you inquired.

Really? I said all of that and did all of that and you blame me for things
you can't even verify I did or did not do and you _claim_ to appreciate what
I did for you? Really? I dont even need to see the rest of your spew. This
paragraph you wrote is so not believable I don't know how on earth your mind
even came up with this crap? I don't *need* or want sysop or root on any box
but my own... unless I'm asked for assistance and it's required. You however
needed such assistance and YOU ASKED FOR IT. Now you're trying to reverse
it??? Really?? I told you who you would link to and when you did vanish
he inquired as to your whereabouts. He is our network Tower Climber and
I told you that. He had a 1U server he could have even donated for your
cause but you vanished without even politely giving us notification and
you failed to answer communications when asked. I never like hearing of
anyone breaking anything especially when they do not have a backup
which I kept pressing you to get... this way here if you did
mess something up as you were (I thought you were anyway) learning linux
admin skills if you made a critical config error that you couldn't reverse
then you could restore back to a working system. Anyone on my support list
knows that I push for guys to do a monthly backup using Clonezilla
(freeware). Some do some don't, that's their choice. It appears you chose
not to do that which is very poor admin skills. It falls under disaster
recovery and if you're alleged to be doing emergency coordination for
a county you should know all about disaster recovery no?
I'm quite happy you chose to move to another system and I do hope you
enjoy whatever you decide to use... and I'll be quite pleased in knowing
my support mails will be kept to a limited amount.
