Hi Everyone,
The new internet installation went fairly well. What's great
is I was able to swap my own router with theirs instead of
using a DMZ feature in the provided router.
The only negative is they set up their router to use DHCP
on the WAN side when it was supposed to be static. I plugged
my router in, and it got a different address than theirs - no
great surprise. Then I set mine with a static address matching
the address their router had obtained via DHCP. That's working
fine for now. Tomorrow I'll call their tech support and see
about getting a "real" static address, which is what I am pay-
ing for.
Because my address may change I won't publish it yet. Those
of you that have links with me can use either k5dat.dynu.net
or k5dat.myradioplay.com for the address, and if it changes
I'll make sure those names point to the new address and also
change the amprnet portal accordingly.
