Until this evening I was with Debian 8 and FBB 7.0.8-beta. I just
compiled FBB 7.0.9 on this old machine, and was pleasantly surprised
that compilation process went smoothly. (Only ./configure suggested me
to add some few libraries if I wanted to compile X stuff of FBB too, so
I did and all passed thru without visible errors.)

Right now I test MATE GUI and Thunderbird mailer to write this bull. As
said yesterday, GUI is disabled at boot, so that FBB starts in CLI mode
(not yet as within boot process until fully checked). Then I can use
either xfbbC in CLI, or start GUI and from there Thunderbird or else.

This is sent from within Thunderbird as a bulletin in newsgroup LINUX@WW
