We have no real restrictions only that you have to have a extended
license to keep stuff on air 24/7 unattendend..

hams these days go for the easy way..
why bother if you could do it over internet.
same thing with d-star and dmr. wy bother to use a antenna and a 
repeater when you can take your handy sit in the living room and
make qso's over you own private hotspot.
but complain when the repeater sysop closes down the local repeater 
do to lack of use.

i'm building a soundcard interface at the moment..
could buy one for shure but whats the fun of that ?
