I have asked a Japanese Ham to request that Jamsat publish the source
code to the old JAMSAT Satellite Tracker Device TRAKBOX. It was based
on a 8051cpu with external hardware support. It would be nice to revive
this project into a newer more versatile Processor along with some added
conveniences such as GPS to retrieve real time position of station and
time/date info. This would be a handy tool for portable sat ope
rations. Any thoughts? I am currently emulating the trakbox latest
firmware in an 8051 cpu emulator I wrote. I believe I can also
modifiy this emulator to emulate the trakbox hardware on a
raspberry pi.. 73
